IIT Bombay has revised CEED 2024 Syllabus. Candidates can check the syllabus at ceed.iitb.ac.in. CEED 2024 Exam will consist of two parts- Part A which will be online based and Part B which will be offline based. Part A of the paper will consist of objective-type questions while Part B will consist of Drawing questions. The Final Score for CEED 2024 will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to Part A and 75% to Part B. CEED 2024 Exam Pattern will be released by IIT Bombay soon along with the notification for CEED 2024. The total exam duration is three hours, with Parts A and B accounting for one hour and two hours, respectively. Candidates must note that they need to pass Part A to be eligible to take Part B.

CEED 2024 Exam Pattern

CEED 2024 consists of two parts. The type of questions in both parts will be different.

CEED Exam Pattern 2024: Part A

  • CEED 2024 Part A contains 100 questions
  •  The duration allotted is 1 hour. 
  • The nature of questions are objective: numerical answer type (NAT), multiple choice question (MCQ), and multiple select questions (MSQ) (MSQ).
  •  Part-A answers must be typed into a computer. These will be design aptitude questions that will assess candidates' visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation, and design sensitivity.
  • Part A marks the eligibility of the candidates for Part B

CEED Exam Pattern 2024: Part B

  • CEED 2024 Part-B consists of five questions
  • Part B assesses the design, drawing, and writing abilities.
  • The duration allotted is 2 hours. 
  • Part-B questions will be displayed on a computer screen
  • Answers must be written in the answer book provided by the invigilator (NOT into the Computer). 
  • At the end of the examination, the Part-B answer books will be collected.

After the above calculation, the final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A and 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part B.

  • Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.
  • Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects.

Important Instructions

CEED 2024 Important Instructions

  • Participants in the test should bring their own pencils, sketch pens, crayons, poster colours, and materials.
  • Part A and Part B questions will appear on the computer screen. Part A questions must be answered on a computer by candidates. Part B answers, on the other hand, must be answered in the answer book.
  • Part A will be given blank paper sheets for rough work, and candidates must provide the rough sheets to the invigilator after the exam.

Ans- A candidate can apply two times for CEED exam.

Q. What is the age limit for the CEED 2024 exam?

Ans- There is no upper age limit for the CEED 2022 exam.

Q. Does CEED 2024 exam have negative marking?

Ans- Part A contains two sections with negative marking. For each incorrect answer in the MSQ section, 0.25 mark will be deducted, and in the MCQ section, 0.5 mark will be deducted.

Q. How many seats are there in CEED?

Ans- There are approximately 200 seats available.

Q. What is the validity of CEED 2024 score?

Ans The score validity of CEED 2022 is for a time period of one year.

Q. Who is eligible for CEED exam?

Ans- Candidates who have completed their 3 years graduation or diploma or appearing in the final examination are eligible for CEED 2022 exam.

Q. Can I make corrections in the details of the CEED 2024 registration form?

Ans- Yes, when the correction facility opens in the first week of January 2024, candidates will be able to make changes to your registration information.

Q. How long does it take to prepare for CEED?

Ans- Candidates must maintain a regularity and devote 4-5 hours daily for a minimum of 3 months duration.

Q. Is CEED difficult?

Ans- CEED exam ranges between moderate to difficult. With proper preparation one can score well in CEED exam.

Q. Does CEED Selection process have an interview?

Ans- Candidates who pass the Design Aptitude Test Screening must then participate in and ace the personal interview round. After completing all of the formalities, candidates will be chosen for the courses and institutes of their choice.
