Ans. In previous years, out of current affairs and static GK, most of the questions that appeared in CMAT were from static GK. Hence, based on the previous year's exam analysis, an attempt of 16-17 questions in a moderately difficult paper would be a good attempt.

Ans. Most of the logical reasoning questions in CMAT are rated in the ‘easy-moderate range as usually there are no questions on data sets that are overly complex or complicated. The majority of the questions are from coding-decoding, blood relations, and verbal reasoning i.e. word relationship, statement argument, statement conclusion, and assertion reason. In a moderately difficult exam, attempting 15-17 questions accurately will be sufficient to get a good score.

Ans. The number of hours to spend on CMAT exam preparation will depend on the level of your conceptual clarity. If your fundamentals are strong and you are aware of the updated exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly, then 3-4 hours daily will suffice. However, if you are a beginner, then 7-8 hours daily would be required to study the basics and practice questions.

Ans. Yes, there are numerous candidates who have cleared CMAT by self-study. If you plan to prepare by yourself, then follow the below-mentioned steps:

Try not to stick to one question and spare time for revision.

There are two courses available in management studies  PGDM (fully autonomous)  MMS (autonomous affiliated to Mumbai university) The PGDM course requires a separate form to be filled out if you are applying through CAT/CMAT/XAT or other All India Entrance exams. PGDM course doesn't have any kind of reservation criteria but you need only an All India Level Entrance exam score to apply.
