Counselling Instructions

DU JAT 2022 Counselling Instructions

The allotment list has been released online. The colleges will be allotted depending on the ranks secured by the candidate. The candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned instructions:

  • Check the allotment list on the online admission portal
  • Check the college allotted by entering registered email and password on the online portal
  • Click on ‘click for admission’ on the course for which you have applied
  • Upload the documents
  • The documents will be verified within two days and then the admission will be approved
  • Candidates can choose to upgrade their course provided that seats are available
  • Candidates can edit their preferences within 24 hours of submission
  • Original documents shall be submitted at the time of commencement of classes

DU JAT Selection Process

DU JAT 2022 Selection Process

DU JAT 2022 selection process is based on a standardized process. The total scores obtained by candidates in all sections will be aggregated to arrive at the original score. The scores obtained in DU JAT 2022 will be normalized later using the equal percentile method. Once completed, the scaled score will be converted to a percentage. The final transcript will be prepared based on the percentage obtained by the candidate. The percentile mark will be used as input to prepare the final grade list. The higher the percentage, the better the chance of being admitted to the selected university. After the University of Delhi completes the standardization of scores, the selection process for DU JAT 2022 will begin. The rank will be allotted considering the following factor:

  • The difficulty level of the paper
  • Highest score 
  • The average score is obtained by the candidate.
  • Marks in the qualifying examination

DU JAT 2022 Counselling: Steps to Register 

  • Step 1: Visit the official Portal – To register for participating universities in DU JAT 2022, candidates must first visit the official website of the University of Delhi.
  • Step 2: Choose the order of preference – When filling out the application form online, all candidates must state their order of preference for courses and universities. All candidates must fill in at least one preference of the course and university when completing the DU JAT 2022 registration form.
  • Step 3: No preference category – Candidates can also choose not to choose any other preferences by selecting "No Preference" from the drop-down menu, which is available for courses and university fields. Candidates must take care that their chosen preferences cannot be changed.
  • Step 4: Ranking – The final allocation of the university will be based on the candidate's ranking in DU JAT 2022 and the allocation of seats for that particular course and university.
  • DU JAT 2022 counseling selection procedure – According to the DU JAT 2022 selection process, candidates will be allocated seats based on their rankings and personal preferences. Candidates with higher levels/higher scores will first be asked to attend the consultation meeting. After the first round of consultation meetings, the University of Delhi is likely to publish a new deadline list on the official website for the remaining seats. During the selection process of DU JAT 2022, applicants must bring a list of documents. Participating institutions of DU JAT 2022 will conduct further rounds.
