DU LLB 2023 Counselling: Check Dates, Merit List, Direct Link and Allotment Process

DU LLB Counselling 2023 is expected to start tentatively in the 2nd week of July 2023 by the University of Delhi on December 10, 2023. The university will release the first allotment list of DU LLB Counselling 2023 after the completion of the counselling registration process. Only the shortlisted candidates can register for the counselling process. DU will verify the documents and details submitted by the candidates. After verifying, candidates can complete their fee payment for the admission process.

DU LLB 2023 Counselling: How to Register?

Follow the steps mentioned below to register for counselling in online mode:

  1. Step 1: Candidates must visit the official portal of DU LLB Counselling
  2. Step 2: Click ‘DU LLB 2023 Counselling’ link when available. 
  3. Step 3: Enter login credentials to get into your registered account for DU LLB 2023.
  4. Step 4: Candidates will be redirected to a new page will open with the DU LLB 2023 Counselling Registration Form.
  5. Step 5: Fill in the form, your name, roll number, qualifying examination details and preferred colleges for admission etc in the prescribed space and click on submit.

DU LLB 2023 Counselling Guidelines

Given below are some of the general instructions for DU LLB Counselling Process:

  • DU LLB 2023 Counselling will be held in offline mode where the shortlisted candidates will be called at the University campus.
  • Delhi University may organize 5 rounds of counselling for DU LLB 2023 Admissions depending on the number of seats and applicants.
  • DU LLB Counselling will be organized for each category seperately, namely General, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD.
  • DU Admissions will be done as per the rank secured by the candidates in DU LLB entrance exam.
  • Shortlisted candidates should be present in person at the time of DU LLB 2023 Counselling with the required documents at the campus.
  • In case, the candidate doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria or is not able to attend DU LLB Counselling, the seat of that candidate will be transferred to the next candidate in merit.
  • After the seat is allotted to the candidate, the admission fee has to be paid within the given time. If the candidate fails to submit the admission fee, the seat will be cancelled and transferred to the next candidate on merit.
  • Once DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment for each round has been done and the admission fee has been paid, no further requests regarding rescheduling of DU LLB 2023 Counselling will be entertained.

  • DU LLB 2023 Merit List will be released by the faculty of law, University of Delhi, which will determine the counselling process.

DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment Process

Given below are some instructions for DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment:

  1. DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment will be processed only after the verification of documents, which will be announced with the counselling dates.
  2. The total number of seats for the LLB Program at Delhi University is 2922 which will be allotted to the candidates as per the issued merit list and after the eligibility criteria are met.
  3. In case, any shortlisted candidate fails to meet the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and the next candidate in merit will be allotted the seat.
  4. Out of 2922, 381 seats are reserved for supernumerary categories comprising Foreign Nationals, War Widows, and Physically Handicapped.
  5. Further, the university will also consider reservation rules according to the norms of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI).

DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment Guidelines

Given below are some guidelines to follow while DU LLB 2023 Seat Allotment Process:

  1. The seats will be allotted to the candidates in three participating institutions: Campus Law Center, Law Center I and Law Center II.
  2. The candidates have to attend DU LLB 2023 Counselling in person for the seat allotment process.
  3. The candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank in DU LLB Merit List and as per the schedule.
  4. All the important documents are required for attending DU LLB Seat Allotment sessions.
  5. Before allotting seats, the candidates have to prove their eligibility.
  6. If any candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria, his/her seat will be allotted to the next candidate.
  7. If any candidate fails to be present during the counselling rounds, the same procedure of transfer will be followed.
  8. The seats allotted to a candidate shall be deemed to be final and no further request for change will be entertained.
  9. The seat allotment will be considered final if and only the fees for LLB Program has been paid.
