DUET 2022 Result for PG & Ph.D courses has been released on November 22 at the official website – nta.ac.in. DUET 2022 results are made available in scorecard format containing the overall scores and rank of the candidates. Candidates are able to check their results online by logging in using their application number and date of birth. NTA has also released the final answer key for PG and Ph.D courses of DUET 2022 on November 23, 2022. Candidates can check the answer key from the direct link given below. DUET 2022 Cutoff is the minimum mark required by the candidates in order to qualify for the exam. The cutoff list of DUET 2022 is going to be released very soon at the official website. Normalization of Marks in DUET 2022

While calculating DUET 2022 Results, the scores of candidates are normalized through the equi-percentile method. This is an important method, used to adjust the difficulty level of question papers. The percentile which comes up after normalizing marks is used to finalise the merit list. The ranks of all the candidates are also decided on the basis of normalized marks.

How is Ranking done for DU Entrance Exam-based Courses?

Ranking of Candidates for UG courses

  • B.Tech (IT&MI), BA (H&SS), B.El.Ed. , BA(H)MMC and FYIPJ courses- The ranking is done on the basis of their performance in the Exam.
  • BA (H) BE, BMS, BBA (FIA), courses –The ranking is done after taking into consideration the candidate’s performance in the entrance test as well as in Class 12th with the weightage of 65% and 35% respectively.
  • BSc (PE,HE&S) course- The mean of the marks scored in the written test and the trials will be used for determining the ranking.
  • B.A.(Hons.) Music- The marks scored in the practical test will be used for determining the ranking.

Compilation Process

DUET 2022 Result Compilation Process

DUET 2022 Results will be compiled as a merit list and are also released in the form of a scorecard. The merit list contains the name of all the candidates who are eligible for the admission process. Whereas, the scorecard carries the individual details of all the candidates.

  • Calculation of score- The answers in the final answer key are considered while calculating marks. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Preparation of the merit list- For preparing the merit list, the total marks in the examination are compared amongst the candidates. The candidate with the best score among the rest will be awarded with rank 1 and so on. In case of a tie between 2 candidates, tie-breaking criteria will be used.

When two or more candidates score equal marks in the DUET, their tie will be resolved by using the following methods:

Tie Breaking Criteria for UG Courses

  • The Candidate with higher percentage of marks (aggregate of best four with one language included) will be given preference.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with the higher entrance test score will be given preference.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher percentage of marks (aggregate of best five with one language included) will be given preference.
  • In the last procedure, if the tie still persists, the older candidate will be given preference than the younger one (date of birth will be considered as mentioned in class Xth certificate).

Tie-Breaking Criteria for PG courses

  • The candidate with the higher percentage in the Qualifying Exam will be given preference in the merit list.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with the higher percentage in the bachelor's degree (final year) will be given preference, and then the preceding year and so on.
  • If the tie still persists, then the candidates having higher aggregate marks (five subjects including one language) in the class XII Board examination will be given preference.
