Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021

Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam (HCEE) is a state level entrance test conducted for admission to various M.Sc and M.Pharma courses across seven universities of Haryana. The entrance test is scheduled on multiple dates starting from June 22 to 24 by Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak. Some important highlights of Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam are stated below:

  • The entrance test will be conducted at MDU, Rohtak only
  • All courses are primarily classified into six groups, namely Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
  • Participating universities in Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 are:

  • Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Application Form will be available online from May 17, 2021 (tentatively)
  • Candidates are required to pay application fee of INR 600 for every subject and INR 150 thereafter for every additional subject
  • The entrance test consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs)

Candidates can start online registration for Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam from May 17, 2021 and the last date for submission of online form is June 7, 2021. Subsequent to declaration of result, candidates are required to submit INR 500 towards counselling fee by June 28, 2021

Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 COURSES AND ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should go through the eligibility criteria before applying. Eligibility criteria is primarily the minimum academic and age limit threshold set by participating universities for candidates to be able to appear for Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 and subsequently obtain admission in the desirable courses: 

  • All the courses covered under Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 and offered by seven state universities, have been formed into 6 groups
  • For every group, entrance exam will be conducted separately
  • Additional fee will have to be deposited by candidates, who want to give entrance exam for more than one group 

Life Sciences

This group covers 15 M.Sc courses and eligibility criteria across courses are different. Eligibility criteria for all courses are as follows –

  1. M.Sc. (Biochemistry)
  • B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons.) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology
  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
  • B.Sc. (Pass) with any of 3 subjects. from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering (At least two subjects should be associated with Biology)
  • Any other State Universities- recognized equivalent examination

Forensic Science

Under this group there is only 1 course, M.Sc.(Forensic Science), and its eligibility criteria is as follows –

  • B.Sc. (Forensic Science)
  • B.Sc. (Pass) with any of the two subjects from Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology or BDS
  • Any other State Universities- recognized equivalent examination
  • A minimum of 50% marks must be secured in any of the above courses

Pharmaceutical Sciences

This group covers 7 M.Pharm courses M. Pharm. (Industrial Pharmacy), M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) (Drug Regulatory Affairs), M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics), M. Pharm.

(Drug Regulatory Affairs), M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), M. Pharm. (Pharmacognosy), M. Pharm. (Pharmacology). Following is the eligibility criteria for these courses –

  • B. Pharma
  • Any other MD University, Rohtak-recognized equivalent examination
  • A minimum of 50% marks must be secured in any of the above courses

This group covers 5 M.Sc courses M.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. Chemistry (Mathematical Stream), M.Sc. Chemistry (Non- Mathematical Stream), M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Pharmaceuticals (Mathematical Stream), M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Pharmaceuticals (Non- Mathematical Stream). Following is the eligibility criteria for these courses –

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry
  • B.Sc. (Pass) with Chemistry as one of the primary subjects
  • Any other State Universities- recognized equivalent examination
  • A minimum of 50% marks must be secured in any of the above courses

Mathematics

This group covers 2 M.Sc courses, M.Sc. (Mathematics) and M.Sc. (Math. With Computer

Science). Following is the eligibility criteria for these courses –

  • B.A. or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics
  • B.A. or B.Sc. (Pass) with Mathematics as one of the subjects
  • Any other State Universities- recognized equivalent examination
  • A minimum of 50% marks must be secured in any of the above courses

Physics

This group covers M.Sc. (Physics). Its eligibility criteria are

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics
  • B.Sc. (Pass) with Physics and Mathematics as two of the primary subjects

Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Seat Reservation

Reservation of seats under Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 is based on reservation policy notified by Government of Haryana vide Notification No. 22/10/2013 - IGSIII dated 28/2/2013 and instructions given by State Government periodically

  • Seat Reservation includes state quota, quota for reserved categories, schedule caste, backward classes and physically handicapped.
Category Reservation
1. All India Open Category Seats (Including Haryana State) 15% of total available seats
2. State Quota 85% of total available seats
2a. Haryana Open General Category 50% of State Quota, implying 42.5% of total available seats
2b. Reserved Categories of Haryana 50% of State Quota, implying 42.5% of total available seats
2c. Scheduled Caste 20% of State Quota, implying 17% of total available seats
2d. Backward Classes of Haryana – A 16% of State Quota, implying 13.6% of total available seats
2e. Backward Classes of Haryana - B 11% of State Quota, implying 9.35% of total available seats
2f. Physically Handicapped 3% of State Quota, implying 2.55% of total available seats


Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Application Form

Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Application form has to be filled by candidates only through online mode. University follows online admission procedure, but prospectus (for reference only) can still be bought for INR 150 from the Assistant Registrar (Publication Cell), M.D. University, Rohtak

Following are the steps for successful completion of online application submission –

  1. Go to the official website of HCEE 2021 - https://mducee2021.thinkadmission.in/ and click on ‘New Registration’ tab to arrive at the following webpage
  2. Fill all details, including Name, date of birth and other personal particulars, along with email ID and mobile number. Candidate must ensure that mobile number and email ID being entered are absolutely correct since Admission Authority (DOA) will be conducting all communication through mobile and email only, with no postal correspondence.
  3. Click on ‘Register Now’ tab after carefully filling all details and then click on ‘Continue To Payment’ tab. Subsequent to successful completion of registration, candidate will receive User ID and password on his/her email ID and mobile
  4. Select payment type as online and click on ‘Proceed To Payment’ tab to arrive at following webpage
  5. General category students will have pay application processing fee (inclusive of Entrance Test Fee) of INR 600 for one subject, while SC/BC candidates of Haryana will have to pay INR 150
  6. Furthermore, in case candidate applies for more than one course, which requires a different entrance exam to be given, a fee of INR 300 has to be submitted by General category students, while SC/BC candidates of Haryana will have to pay INR 75, for each additional course
  7. Click on ‘Pay Now’ tab after filling all required details of Net Banking and then on next page click ‘Continue to Application’ tab
  8. Correctly and carefully fill remaining personal particulars, along with reservation details as well as correspondence address
  9. Subsequently, candidate will have to upload scanned images of his/her photograph and signatures, both in either jpg or jpeg format
  10. Click on ‘Save & Continue’ tab
  11. Candidate will reach webpage for filling details of his/her academic qualifications
  12. After filling details and submitting them candidate will reach following page
  13. Click on ‘Save’ tab to reach final preview page
  14. Click on ‘Back-To Edit’ if any changes need to be done, other click on ‘Submit & Print’
  15. Click ‘Ok’ when confirmation message appears to view final application form
  16. Application must be saved and printed for future references
  17. Candidate can login into their respective accounts using User ID and password to add another group

Haryana Centralized Entrance Examination 2021 Pattern and Syllabus

Candidates can check below the detailed pattern and syllabus for Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 below. The exam pattern for the test is decided by MDU. The paper will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper based test) based on the graduation syllabus of the relevant programs.

Pattern of Examination and Marking Scheme

HCEE 2021 Entrance Exam will be objective in nature and candidates will be required to ask only MCQs. Candidates must be careful while answering questions since exam entails negative marking for incorrect answer

  • Entrance Exam will be conducted over a time frame of one and a half hours (90 minutes)
  • Each candidate will have to attempt 100 MCQs
  • Each MCQ will carry 1 mark
  • For every correct answer, candidates will earn 1 mark
  • For every incorrect answer ¼ marks will be deducted

Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Result

MDU publishes the complete list of result all the appearing candidates. Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 Results will be declared separately for all groups.

  • Result Sheet for every group will contain following information about candidate
  1. Serial Number
  2. Roll Number
  3. Applicant Name
  4. Father Name
  5. Category
  6. Marks
  • Those who failed to appear for exam will be marked Absent (ABS) in marks column
  • Candidates who have registered under any specific category to claim weightage, are required to submit hardcopy of proof for claim at MDU, failing which they will not be given allocation under reserved quota

Steps to Download Result Sheet

  • Visit on the official website of MDU - www.mdurohtak.ac.in
  • Go to Admission tab on top row and click on ‘Entrance Exam Results’
  • Select the Entrance Exam link for Group under which the candidate’s subject falls
  • A pdf file, with results of all candidates will open

HCEE 2021 Counselling       

Subsequent to declaration of result, MDU will issue the counselling schedule on basis of marks obtained in entrance exam and category under which candidate has registered. There will be four rounds in counselling process of Haryana Centralized Entrance Exam 2021 depending on the seats that remain vacant after the completion of initial rounds.

  • In case seats remain vacant after 1st round of counselling, more candidates are called for 2nd round and so on
  • Candidates have to submit a counselling fee of INR 500 immediately after result has been declared, along with submission of choices of courses
  • Counselling for all rounds commences at 9 a.m.
  • Following documents must be carried by candidates while appearing for counselling
  1. All original educational qualification certificates to verify eligibility of candidate for admission in course applied for
  2. Two sets of photocopies of each document
  3. Original and 2 sets of photocopies of proof for any claims made for reserved seats
  4. Without submission of evidential document, candidate will not be allotted any seats under reservation
  5. Two passport size photographs
