IIT JAM 2022 Exam Analysis- IIT Roorkee has successfully conducted IIT JAM 2022 for 7 papers in 2 shifts, i.e. Biotechnology, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics in the morning shift 1 (9 am to 12 noon), and Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics, and Geology in the afternoon shift (3 pm to 6 pm). IIT JAM 2022 exam analysis is given below for all papers.

As per IIT JAM test-takers, the overall difficulty level of the biotechnology (BT) paper was moderate to high with 30 MCQs, 10 MSQs, and 20 NATs. Mathematical Statistics (MS) paper was rated difficult and lengthy by the candidates. Also, Physics (PH) and Chemistry (CY) papers were moderately difficult with a few tricky questions.

Chemistry paper also had a total of 30 MCQs, 10 MSQs, and 20 NAT questions.The distribution of 2 mark and 1 mark questions in each section was similar to the other papers.
Applicants rated the IIT JAM 2022 Chemistry paper moderate to difficult.

IIT JAM 2022 Geology (GG) Paper Analysis

IIT JAM 2022 Geology exam had a total of 3 sections, i.e. A, B, C.
Section A had a total of 30 MCQs (multiple-choice questions) with 20 questions carrying 2 marks each with negative marking of 0.66 marks and 10 questions carrying 1 mark each with negative marking of 0.33 marks
Section B had a total of 10 MSQs (multiple-select questions) with a total of 10 questions of 2 marks each.
Section C had a total of 20 NAT Type questions with 10 questions carrying 2 marks each, and the rest 10 carrying 1 mark each.
The difficulty level of exam was moderate to tough.

IIT JAM 2022 Mathematics (MA) Paper Analysis

The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough with a few easy-to-solve questions.
As per students, the MSQ section was the toughest.
The highest weightage was accounted for by the topic Real Analysis (21%) followed by calculus of single variable (18%), linear algebra (14%), differential calculus, etc.

IIT JAM Physics topics wise weightage was heavily towards questions regarding EMP, Thermodynamics, Mechanics, and Optics.
There were more theory questions than numerical questions.
Questions from Advanced Mathematical Physics were not asked much.

IIT JAM Biotechnology (BT) -

IIT JAM Biotechnology topics wise weightage 2021 was equally distributed between theory and numerical questions.
The most frequently asked questions include Molecular and Biogenetics.

IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics (MS) -

IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics topics wise distribution was more towards statistics questions than the maths questions.
There were questions from Monotony, Sequence, and Mass Functions.

IIT JAM Chemistry (CY) -

Most questions in this paper were asked from Co-ordination Chemistry, Hybridization, and Electron Rule.

IIT JAM 2021 Sample Paper Analysis

Candidates must keep practicing all IIT JAM 2021 Sample Paper before appearing for the final exam or IIT JAM 2021 Exam. The number of questions will be 60 and the total marks are 100. Some of the advantages along with question type are mentioned below.

The entire IIT JAM 2021 test paper has the division of three sections that is A, B, and C. All the sections contain a different type of questions and those are must attempt. All the sections are mentioned below.

Section A

This section consists of 30 MCQ or Multiple-Choice Questions that includes 10 questions of 1 mark each and 20 questions for 2 marks each.
There are 4 choices for each MCQ from where a candidate needs to select one correct answer.
For the incorrect answer of each 1-mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted and for the incorrect answer of each 2-mark question, 2/3 mark will be deducted.

Section B

This section consists of 10 MCQ which contains 2 marks for each question.
There are also 4 choices out of which a candidate can select one of more than one correct answer.
There will not be any negative marks for an incorrect answer in section B.

Section C

This section includes 20 NAT or Numerical Answer Type that contain 10 questions of 1 mark each and also 10 questions of 2 marks each.
There will not be any choices for NAT questions. In this section, no negative marks will be counted for each negative answer.
