JEE Main 2022 is expected to be conducted in the third week of June 2022 (tentatively). JAB will release JEE Advanced 2022 Application Forms tentatively in the first week of May 2022. What is JEE Advanced? JEE Advanced or Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is an engineering entrance exam conducted by one of seven participating IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Guwahati) on a rotational basis for B.E./B.Tech and Architecture admissions at 23 participating IITs. Registration Procedure

JEE Advanced 2022 Registration

Candidates who qualify in JEE Main 2022 can follow the steps mentioned below to register for JEE Advanced 2022. The registration process will be completely online so the candidates should ensure that they have all the requisite documents for registration.

  1. Viist the official website for JEE Advanced.
  2. Log in with your JEE Main 2022 credentials.
  3. After login, candidates will be required to provide basic information and preference of the city for examination.
  4. Candidates will also be given the option to add an additional number and email id in addition to their registered number and email id for JEE Main.
  5. Candidates should ensure that the mobile number and email id are active at all times as all the important intimations will be communicated to the candidates on those.
  6. Upload scanned copies of required documents.
  7. Pay registration fees.

JEE Advanced 2022 Registration Fees

  • The registration fee for JEE Advanced 2022 is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • However detailed instructions regarding registration fees will be provided during JEE Advanced 2022 Registration on the official portal.
  • Candidates can pay JEE Advanced 2022 registration fees online through NetBanking/ UPI/ PayTM, etc.

JEE Advanced 2022 Registration- Documents Required

Candidates will be required to submit the following documents for JEE Advanced 2022 Registration:

  • Class 10th certificate Or Birth certificate(for date of birth)

  • If the name of the candidate has been changed, then gazette notification with the change of name
  • Caste certificate( if applicable)

Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria (Relaxed)

  • Candidates must fulfill each of the eligibility criteria tabulated below in order to qualify for JEE Advanced 2022 examination.
  • JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria has been relaxed. Candidates who were not able to appear for the exam in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19 and have qualified JEE Main are eligible to directly appear for the exam this year.
    • This relaxation in JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Cirtiera is a one-time opportunity for the 2022 session.

JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Pattern 

  • JEE Advanced Exam Pattern is not pre-defined by the examination authorities. However, based on the past year papers, some highlights on JEE Advanced 2022 exam pattern have been mentioned below.
  • Candidates will be provided information regarding negative marking (if any) at the time of examination in the instructions of JEE Advanced 2022.
  • Candidates have the option to choose their preferred medium i.e English or Hindi at the time of examination, candidates can also switch between the language as and when they prefer.
  • Appearance in Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mandatory, if candidates do not appear in any one of those, they will be considered absent in JEE Advanced 2022.

JEE Advanced 2022 Rank Lists

For calculating JEE Advanced rank list, specific criteria are followed by the examining authority. Candidates should consider the following points to get an idea about the ranking system for JEE Advanced

  • The Aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in JEE Advanced 2022 will include the sum of marks obtained by the candidate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Paper I and Paper-II.
  • Ranks will only be calculated for students who have appeared in Paper I and Paper-II.
  • If two candidates obtain the same aggregate marks, a tie-break policy will be adopted to determine ranks.

Candidates who score aggregate marks and a minimum prescribed mark in each subject will only be considered for inclusion in the rank list.

  • Successfully registered candidates for JEE Advanced 2022 can download their admit card from the official website of https://jeeadv.ac.in/.
  • Click on the link for JEE Admit Card 2022
  • Admit Card will contain details like the name of the candidate, Roll number for JEE Advanced 2022, Photograph, Signature, date of birth, category, and Examination Center.

Hi Atrisa, main subjects that will be tested in exam are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However, you may go through some of the important topics in these subjects from below:

Physics:

  • Charge,electricity and magnetism part, EMI.
  • Optics is highly scorable once you study.
  • In mechanics,focus more on rotation and work energy.
  • Oscillations and waves.

Mathematics:

  • Calculus have maximum weightage.
  • Probability and permutations are well scorable.
  • Algebra is also scorable but need good practise.
  • Vector and 3-D Geometry.
  • Coordinate geometry 

Chemistry:

  • JEE Advanced consists of 2 papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) and candidates have to appear for both the papers.

Hi Simran, Jee Mains paper 1 has 90 MCQ Single Correct Option questions. 30 each from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Marking Scheme is +4,-1. And full marks in 360 while Jee Mains paper 2 is only for those interested in Architecture and is not for B.Tech admission, but B.Arch admissions.

Clearing the cutoff in Mains paper 1, will make you eligible for JEE Advanced exam. 

Jee Advanced has 2 papers of 3 hours each.The full marks, marking scheme, question pattern everything varies every year.

  • Performance in JEE Main 2018: Top 2, 24,000 All India Rank holders in JEE Main 2018.
  • Age: General category candidates should not be more than 26 years of age.
  • Number of Attempts: Only 2 times in 2 consecutive years Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent): Candidates appearing for 10 2 or equivalent in 2018 are also eligible.
  • Earlier Admission at IITs: Students who rejected the seat of IIT earlier are not eligible to apply. Those who joined preparatory courses in any of the IITs in the previous academic sessions can also apply. And those who have paid the seat acceptance fee but still not accepted the seat are eligible.
  • Performance in Class 12 (or equivalent): Minimum 75% marks in 10 2 or equivalent or they must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of qualified candidates in their particular 10 2 or equivalent examination.
  • Candidates who appeared in 10 2 examination in 2017 but reappeared in 2018, the best performance from the two will be considered.
