JIPMER 2023 has been replaced by NEET. Candidates willing to take admission in the UG program offered by JIPMER can appear for NEET 2023. Previously, the institute itself conducted the examination but now the Government of India has introduced NTA  to conduct the exam for JIPMER Admission. Check NEET 2023

JIPMER 2023 Application Form will be collected by those candidates who have reached the minimum eligibility level. Candidates must have completed their class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks and the age is above 17 years during the time of admission. Check JIPMER Eligibility

Who is Eligible for JIPMER?

What are the eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2023 Exam?

JIPMER 2023 Application forms will be accumulated by those candidates who will meet the standard eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2023 Exam. All the information regarding JIPMER 2023 Eligibility Criteria is given below. However, candidates are advised to check NEET 2023 Eligibility criteria as JIPMER has been merged with NEET. 

Nationality

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India
  • NRI or Non-Resident Indian Candidates are required to be registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955. And present the proof of registration as OCI or Overseas Citizen of India at the moment of the submission of JIPMER 2023 Application form.
  • For the candidates of Foreign Nationals, it is must to take permission from the Medical Council of India.

Age

  • A candidate must be completed a minimum of 17 years at the time of admission
  • There will not be granted any relaxation for the candidate belongs to reserved category

Academic Qualification

  • The candidate should have successfully passed their 12th class from a recognised board
  • Candidates are required to pass their exam with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology
  • Candidates from general category must be secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate and candidates from a reserved category like OBC, SC, ST, OPH should be secured minimum 40% marks in aggregate. Moreover, 45% of marks are required for those candidates who are from general and OPH category and have passed the exam with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology

However, the candidate who is going to appear for the final year exam in 10+2 or already appear for the exam but awaiting their final result can apply for the course.


Application Process

What are the steps to follow to fill JIPMER 2023 Application Form?

Candidates can fill JIPMER 2023 Application Form only through online mode. There is no possibility to fill the application form via offline mode.

1st Step

  • Visit the official website of the institute i.e jipmer.edu.in. Go through all the information regarding the online application and exam or others
  • Go to the link “Apply online MBBS Admission 2023”
  • Read the instruction

2nd Step

  • Go to the registration form
  • Fill the form by entering a valid email ID and mobile number
  • After receiving the User ID and Password with a login link from the admin, click on the link and complete the registration process

3rd Step

  • Enter the User ID and Password to log in

4th Step

  • Click on the tab “Edit” on that page
  • Fill up the form with all the required details
  • Click on the “Submit” button to proceed
  • Upload a scanned passport size photograph along with signature
  • Upload the community certificate and PwD or Persons with Disability certificate (if applicable)

5th Step

  • Pay the application fee by Net banking, Credit Card/Debit Card after redirecting to the option payment gateway

6th Step

  • After successful completion of the payment process, the candidate is advised to take a print out of it

Things to Remember

  • JIPMER and AIIMS MBBS now falls under NEET and are conducted by NTA.
  • JIPMER MBBS is now conducted in offline (pen-paper) mode under NEET.
  • The exam is conducted across 120 cities in two shifts. 

Students must be having mixed feelings about the exam now since it is now merged with NEET, but it is advised to not lose hope and use this for their benefit by solving previous year papers and giving mock tests. Moreover, students can check NEET exam pattern for a better understanding of the exam.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research conducts JIPMER MBBS. NEET is a common test for all medical aspirants trying to secure admission to govt medical colleges. Earlier AIIMS was conducted for AIIMS MBBS. But it has been scrapped and AIIMS takes admission based on NEET scores.  The examination pattern of JIPMER is different than NEET.
