MAH M.Arch CET 2023: Exam Highlights

The examination will be conducted only in online mode. The application process for the examination shall be completely online and no other modes of application will be accepted. Some important features of the examination are mentioned below:

Registration Registration process for MAH M.Arch CET 2023 will start in February 2023.
Syllabus for entrance exam The syllabus comprises five main topics-Building Technology, Environment, Architecture History and Humanities, Settlement, design and planning, and Current Architecture Practice. These are almost similar to the B.Arch syllabus studied at the graduation level.
Validity of Exam The exam is accepted by all the government-aided as well as unaided institutes subjected to the recognition as per the act. The seats will be allotted to the candidates through a centralized admission process
Reservation Criteria The reservations for backward class and persons with disabilities are available only for the students belonging to Maharashtra. Candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT(NT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D), OBC, SBC and SEBC categories domiciled in the state of Maharashtra are eligible to avail reservation.

The basic eligibility criteria to appear in MAH M.Arch CET are mentioned below:

  1. Only Indian nationals can apply

  2. Must have a bachelor degree in architecture from an institute recognised by AICTE or council of architecture or central or state government.

  3. Minimum marks in graduation shall be 50%(45% in case of backward class and PwD students belonging to the state of Maharashtra only)

  4. The students appearing for final year degree examination can also apply.

Candidates have to register online on the official website of the state CET cell.All the personal and academic details are required to be entered in the form.Application shall be filled only through online mode and no other modes of application will be valid.The steps to fill the application form are as follows:

The amount of application is less for the reserved category.The discounted amount will not be applicable to any backward class or differently abled students who do not belong to the state of Maharashtra.

MAH M.Arch CET Patten and Syllabus

MAH M.Arch CET 2023: Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted in online mode only. All the questions in the online exam will be in MCQ form and each question will carry two marks. For all the questions there will be 5 options out of which one will be the correct answers. There shall be no penalty for incorrect answers or unanswered questions. Total time allotted for online exam will be 60 minutes and the medium of examination will be English language only. The questions will basically cover the course structure studied by the candidates at the graduate level. The syllabus for the exam will consist of topics like Building Technology, Environment, Architecture history, Settlement, design and planning, and Current Architecture Practice. From every topic, there will be 10 questions of 2 marks each and the total number of questions will be 50. In case of any unforeseen circumstances, the authority may conduct an offline mode of test. The candidates will be intimated if any such occurrence came into action. In case of scribe, the candidate shall bring duly filled scribe form and the candidates have to arrange the scribe on their own. A person entitled as a scribe for a candidate cannot be a scribe for any other candidate. In case if any rules regarding the scribe violated by any candidate then the candidature for scribe and the concerned candidate will be cancelled.


MAH M.Arch CET 2023: Syllabus

The syllabus will cover the topics which the candidate has studied at the graduate level. There are mainly five topics prescribed for the exam-Building Technology, Environment, Architecture History and Humanities, Settlement, design and planning, and Current Architecture Practice. Every section will carry 10 questions of 2 marks each. The detailed syllabus is discussed below:
