DTE Maharashtra turns on the form correction facility using the online mode. The authority offers this facility for those applicants who have made any errors when completing the application form online. For the application form, the exam conducting authority will provide the correction period within which candidates must make the corrections. Candidates must fill out the application form carefully because they will not be able to make further corrections after the last date of the correction period. Corrections can only be made in certain fields, and not in all fields. 

  • Candidates who have completed and submitted the application form online can make corrections up to the last date.
  • Aspirants must use their application number, password, and security code.
  • Candidates must very carefully edit or adjust the information, because no adjustments would be permitted after the last date.

Step 1: Registration of Candidates

  • Go to MHT CET's official website and check for a registration link.
  • Click on the 'new user' button and fill out details such as name, email ID, phone number, password, father's name, gender and birth date.

Step 2: Complete the application form online

Step 3: Upload the required documents 

  • Submit a passport size picture of yourself against a white background with a scanned copy of your signature. 
  • The format of the picture must be .jpg, with a dimension ranging from 15 kb to 50 kb. 
  • The signature has to be provided in black ink and scanned at 200 dpi. 
  • The signature size should range between 5 kb and 20 kb. 
  • Applicants must also submit one ID Proof only within the size of 15 to 256 KB in the .pdf format.

Step 4: Application fee to be paid online 

  • The payment of the application fee can be done online and offline. 
  • For the general category, the application fee for MHT CET is INR 800. Applicants from the reserved categories must pay INR 600. 
  • If a candidate prefers the electronic payment form, he or she would have to use the net banking facility or pay with a credit/debit card to make the payment. The offline payment can be done using an e-challan that will be created automatically. 
  • After paying an additional late fee of INR 500, candidates were allowed to fill out the forms.

Step 5: Confirmation 

A confirmation of your submission would get displayed on the screen upon successful payment of the MHT CET application fee. The applicant could take the print out of MHT CET confirmation page for future reference after successful payment.

Eligibility Criteria 2021

MHT CET 2023 General Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality - Indian nationality is mandatory for the candidates. 
  • Age Limit - Candidates do not have an age limit 
  • Qualifying Examination – Applicants should have passed from a recognized board or university with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 12th standard or equivalent exam. Those who were to appear for the 2023 qualifying exam are also eligible.
  • Required Marks – Applicants in the general category should have received a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in the 12th standard exam (45 percent for candidates from SC / ST / OBC).

Changes in Exam Centre

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility to alter the preference of the exam district is granted to the registered candidates. For MHT CET 2023 CBT, many parents and students have requested the CET cell to allow them to change their district preferences. This facility will be made available this year only based on the situation at the time of registrations.

To change the district of the test, candidates followed the following steps:

  • Step 1: Visit the official web portal of MHT CET. 
  • Step 2: Go to the Login window on the site. 
  • Step 3: Enter your username and password in the Login window. 
  • Step 4: Now you will reach your Dashboard. Click on “Proceed”. 
  • Step 5: Read the guidelines that appear and select “Proceed”. 
  • Step 6: Tap on “District Preference”. 
  • Step 7: Select your new preference.
  • Step 8: Click on “Submit”. 

The points that candidates have to keep in mind while changing exam centre preferences are:

  • The link for changing preferences of the exam district is only available in online mode. 
  • Once the applicant selects his or her current preferences, the previously chosen ones will be deemed null and void. 
  • Centers will be assigned to those candidates who have not changed their preferences as per their previous choice. 
  • After the final date, no changes will be approved. 
  • Candidates are allocated centers based on the availability of the resources required for the computer-based test mode.

Application Cancellation

MHT CET Application Form Cancellation

To apply for MHT CET 2023, the candidates must fill out one single application form. There is, however, an option to cancel the submitted form and submit a new one in case the first form had some errors in it. Nevertheless, the application fee paid is not refundable in such a situation. 

After the candidates submit the form, the cancelation option will be available in their dashboard.

The method for canceling MHT CET 2023 application form is outlined below: 

  • Step 1: Go to MHT's official CET 2023 site and login with your credentials. 
  • Step 2: Click the 'Application' tab, and select the 'Cancel Application' button. 
  • Step 3: When you tap the button, you will see a pop-up menu on the screen where you will need to type your registered mobile number. 
  • Step 4: An OTP would be sent to the mobile number you have registered with. In addition to the cancelation remark, type the OTP you received. 
  • Step 5: Then, press the 'Proceed' button to cancel your application. 
  • Step 6: Fill out a fresh MHT CET application form with precise details.
