NEET MDS (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery) is conducted for admissions into the MDS programs of various medical colleges across India. The exam will be conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations).
NEET MDS 2020 Application Form will be available on the official website and candidates will be required to finish the application process online. Before applying, it is advised to check the eligibility criteria to ensure that the candidate meets all the requirements.
NEET MDS 2020 Application Form Filling
General instructions to be followed while finishing the NEET MDS Application Process are given below:
- Candidates must keep the details related to educational background ready before starting.
- Scanned images of photograph and signature must be kept ready as well.
- Candidate must possess a valid and active email id.
There are several stages in the application process of NEET MDS 2020 as explained below:
- Create a profile
- First enter your name, gender, name of father or mother and email address.
- Then, create a login by providing a username and password.
- Set a secret reminder question for security purpose.
- Read the Data Privacy Policy and submit your agreement.
- Provide additional information such as contact number and postal address.
- Upload your photograph and signature according to specifications.
- Click on “Save and Continue”.
- Apply for NEET MDS
- After profile creation, you will be redirected to exam selection screen
- Choose “NEET MDS 2020” from the drop-down menu
- Click on “Save and Continue” to move on to the exam details page
- Go through all details given and then click on “Continue”.
- Enter your personal information such as nationality, resident domicile state, religion, preference for programme, mark of identification and other such details.
- Provide details regarding your educational background.
- Upload scanned images of your Photo ID and DCI/SDC Certificate.
- Read the declaration and indicate your agreement.
- Click on “Save and Continue”.
- If there are any errors in the form, they will be shown after submission.
- Correct the errors and verify all details. Then, submit the form again.
- Schedule the exam
- Choose the preferred location of the exam from the drop-down menu.
- Select a test venue from the available options shown for the chosen location.
- Click on “Schedule Appointment” button.
- Now, choose an exam date from the list of dates shown.
- Then, select either the forenoon or the afternoon session for that specific date.
- Click on “Save and Finish” to move on to the next section.
- Online Payment
- Pay the exam fee using one of the online options.
- The fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 3750 while for ST / SC / PWD candidates, it is INR 2750.
- Choose either the debit card, credit card or the net banking option to pay the fee.
- For debit or credit card, enter name on the card, card number, expiry date and CVV.
- For internet banking services, enter your username and password.
- Pay the fee by within 30 minutes of booking the test location and test date. Otherwise, the booking will be cancelled.
- Confirmation Page
- After successful payment of fee, the completed application form will be displayed.
- Use the “Edit Application” button to make any changes.
NEET MDS 2020 Upload of Images
There are several scanned images that the candidate will need to upload as part of the application form. These images must meet the specifications mentioned by the exam conducting body.
Photograph and Signature
The instructions to edit the images are given below:
- Open the image in “MS Paint” by clicking on Right Click and selecting the relevant option.
- After opening the image, click on “Resize” button at the top.
- A Resize and Skew button will pop up.
- Under “Resize”, select “Pixels” and uncheck “Maintain Aspect Ratio” button.
- Enter the “Horizontal” value as 206 and “Vertical” value as 265 for candidate’s image. Click on “OK”.
- Enter the “Horizontal” value as 302 and “Vertical” value as 132 for candidate’s image. Click on “OK”.
- Save the image with a suitable name by using the “Save As” option in the top left corner.
Photo ID and DCI / SDC Certificate
These have to be uploaded in the “Education Background” section of the application form. The particulars are given below:

NEET MDS 2020 Post Form Filling Stage
After the NEET MDS 2020 application form has been completed, there are certain things that will follow. The candidates must have detailed knowledge regarding these events, as discussed below:
Application Summary Email
A summary of the filled-in application will be sent to the candidates on their registered email address within a span of 24 hours. It is important for the candidates to save this copy of the application form for future reference.
Admit Card Summary Email
Within 24 hours of completion of application process, the admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email. Upon receiving the email, the candidate is advised to go through it carefully.
It is important to verify all details mentioned in the hall ticket. The candidate should save the admit card and keep it safe. The admit card is the primary document to be carried on the day of the exam.
Re-entering the NEET MDS Registration system
The application process can be completed in multiple sittings. The candidate will be required to enter the system for admit card download and also for any changes he wishes to make in the form.
In case, the candidate wishes to re-enter the registration system, he will have to use the username and password set at the time of profile creation.
Registration Help
It may be so that the candidate is faced with a query or a problem at the time of registration. If help is needed, candidate should click on the information links, which will be shown as blue text in a hyperlink. Relevant information related to the area of application form that candidate is completing will pop up.
NEET MDS 2020 Retrieving Login Credentials
In case the candidate is trying to log into the Registration system but has forgotten either one of the login credentials, he should follow the steps given below:
- Click on “Forgot Password or Username” at the top of the page.
- On the redirected page, choose which detail you would like to retrieve.
- For retrieving username, enter your registered email and the CAPTCHA text displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on “Email Username” button.
- Provide the answer to your secret question for added security.
- Click on “Email Username” button again.
- The username will be sent to your email address.
For retrieving password, enter your username and CAPTCHA displayed at the bottom of the screen
- Click on “Email Password” button.
- Provide the answer to your secret reminder question on the redirected page.
- Click on “Email Password” button again.
- The password will be sent to your email address.
