Step 3: NEET Counselling 2023 Choice Filling and Locking
Choice Locking facility is available for a specific time period on a given day.
- In this step, candidates are required to submit preferences. You should fill the choices keeping in mind your scores as admission is granted on the basis of merit i.e. NEET score and preferences submitted during the counselling process.
- You can view the list of colleges on the screen and fill in as many choices as you want.
- Post filling the choices in the list, candidates can arrange them in order of their preference by moving them up or down, interchange choices and deleting choices.
- Once you’re done, enter your password and click on ‘Lock Choices’.
- Candidates are not allowed to make any changes after locking their choices so be very careful in your selection.

Documents Required for NEET Counselling 2023
The following documents will be required during the NEET Counselling. Candidates must carry original documents along with attested photocopies to the counselling process:

NEET Counselling 2023: Instructions for Candidates Claiming NRI Status
Candidates who claim to be NRI, as per the directions/ orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India should send their relevant documents in support of their claim to change nationality from Indian to NRI.

Ques: How do I appear for NEET 2023 Counselling?
Ans: Candidates who clear NEET 2023 Cut off can easily apply for the counselling process by visiting the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in. MCC is responsible for conducting the 15% AIQ NEET counselling whereas to get admission under 85% state quota seats, you can visit the official website of the state and complete the registration process.
Ques: Who will conduct UP NEET Counselling 2023?
Ans: UP NEET Counselling is conducted by DMET, Uttar Pradesh. The state counselling is conducted online for admission in 85% of state quota seats. The round 1, round 2, and mop up round schedule for UP NEET Counselling 2023 will be released at upneet.gov.in.
Ques: How can I apply for all India quota for MBBS NEET 2023 counselling?
Ans: To apply for 15% All India Quota MBBS seats, candidates can visit the official website of MCC. NEET 2023 Counselling for AIQ seats is being conducted in online mode and all those candidates who have qualified the minimum cut off criteria can apply for the admission process.
Ques: How many Counselling rounds are there in NEET?
Ans: Generally, MCC conducts 4 rounds of counselling to offer admission in the AIQ seats. For candidates participating in the state quota seat counselling, the rounds of the admission process will vary from state to state.
Ques: Which score is considered in NEET Counselling?

Ques. After I join the Second Round of Counseling of 15% AIQ, can I leave/ Resign to join State Quota/ Private College seat?
Ans: Once you join the second round seat from 15% All India Quota, you will not be allowed to vacate from the allotted 2nd round seat as per direction by Hon’ble supreme court in WP(C) (267/2017) dated 09/05/2017.
