Frequently Asked Questions

NEET Paper Analysis 2023 FAQs

Ques. Will NEET 2023 be easy?

Ans. NEET 2023 will be conducted in June 2023. Based on NEET paper analysis of previous years, NEET 2023 is expected to be of moderate level difficulty. Going by the reviews of test-takers, Botany and Zoology will be easier compared to Physics and Chemistry. Candidates must go through the NEET paper analysis of 2022-2017 in this article to analyze the exact difficulty level of the paper keeping in view their level of preparation.

Ques. Which year NEET paper was easy?

Ans. NEET paper 2021 was rated moderately difficult with physics as the toughest and chemistry the easiest. NEET paper 2020 was rated moderate with Biology as the easiest subject. NEET 2019 and 2018 papers were rated easy to moderate with a majority of NCERT-based questions and very few tricky questions.

Ques. Do NEET questions repeat?

Ans. There is no rule restricting NTA to not repeat questions in NEET. Mostly, NEET questions do not repeat every year.NEET is only conducted once every year in a single shift, so there are plenty of new questions available to form NEET paper. However, candidates might find modified versions of previously asked questions in the paper.

Ques. Which chapter is most important for NEET?

Ans. Important chapters of NEET chemistry syllabus from where questions are frequently asked include p-block elements, Solutions, Aldehydes, Ketones, and carboxylic acids.Important chapters of NEET Physics syllabus that you should not miss include mechanics, magnetism, optics, energy, and motion. In Botany & Zoology, chapters on biotechnology, principles of inheritance, and human physiology are the most important for NEET.

Ques. Which was the toughest NEET paper subject?

Ans. NEET Paper Analysis of the last 2 years is enough to conclude that Physics has been consistently rated by test-takers as the toughest NEET paper subject. NEET Chemistry is rated the easiest. NEET Botany and Zoology are also rated easy to moderate by the test-takers.

Ques. How many questions are there from each subject?

Ans. There are 50 questions from Physics, 50 from Chemistry, 50 from Botany and 50 from Zoology. Out of the 50 questions in each subject, you have to attempt only 45.

Ques. What will be the weightage of the Zoology section in NEET 2023?

Ans. 50 questions will be asked from the Zoology section. You have to attempt only 45 as internal choice will be given in section B of the paper. Based on the analysis pf previous year NEET papers, the weightage of sections like Animal Husbandary & Biotechnology, Human Physiology would be high in comparison to other chapters.

Ques. Which chapters have the maximum weightage from NEET Physics?

Ans. If we check the NEET Paper Analysis of the previous year then we can see that the following chapter from NEET physics had the maximum weighted in the exam:

  • Mechanics
  • Electricity
  • Modern Physics

Ques. How can I calculate my NEET Score?

Ans. You can calculate NEET Score based on the marking scheme provided by NTA. For each correct answer, add 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, deduct 1 mark. Use the following formula: (No. of correct answers X 4) – (No. of Incorrect answers X 1)

Ques. Is there a negative marking in NEET exam?
