NMAT Exam Centers 2021: Check NMAT by GMAC Test Cities, Exam Day Instructions, and COVID-19 Guidelines

NMAT Exam Centers will be located in 68 cities across India. Graduate Management Aptitude Council (GMAC) has released the official list of NMAT Test Cities for the academic year 2021. As per the latest notification, NMAT by GMAC exam 2021 will be conducted at 73 exam centers located in India and in an online remote proctored mode in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal. Candidates can choose their preferred test city as per proximity and convenience while filling NMAT 2021 Registration Form.

NMAT 2021 exam will be conducted by GMAC from October 14 to December 27, 2021. Foreign candidates residing outside India will be able to take NMAT exam only in online remote proctored mode. Candidates appearing for NMAT by GMAC in IBT mode must ensure that they follow the standard rules set by the authorities as well as fulfill all the network & system requirements. NMAT test center allotted to the candidates will be mentioned on NMAT Admit Card

How to Check NMAT Exam Center?

How to Check the Exam Center Allotted for NMAT 2021?

Candidates must note that all the details regarding the exam center allotted will be mentioned on their NMAT Admit Card 2021 which will be issued within 24 hrs of the successful completion of NMAT by GMAC registration. Given below are the steps to check the test center details on the admit card:

  1. Visit the official website for NMAT 2021
  2. Click on the download “NMAT admit card” tab.
  3. Login with your Application Number and password.
  4. Click on Login and your NMAT 2021 Admit Card will be downloaded in pdf format on your device.
  5. Check all the details mentioned on the admit card like exam center venue & address, exam time & date, name, roll number, etc.
  6. Save and print it out for future reference.

Instructions for NMAT by GMAC 2021 Exam Center

Candidates should keep the following points in mind while going for NMAT by GMAC 2021:

  • If a candidate disobeys and refuses to show his documents, he might get dismissed from the examination and strict action shall be taken against him.
  • Candidate must not involve in any kind of objectionable activities such as talking, cheating, etc. It may result in cancellation of examination and subsequent punishment.
  • It is important to note that the time mentioned in the admit card is the time of commencement of the examination. Candidates must reach the examination hall 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
  • Do carry your NMAT by GMAC Admit Card along with a valid ID proof to the examination hall.
  • In case the candidate fails to locate his examination center, he should contact the allotted center’s authority and ask for directions.

COVID-19 Guidelines

COVID-19 Guidelines for NMAT 2021 Candidates

In the light of recent events due to the Coronavirus pandemic, safety instructions must be followed to avoid contamination.

  • At the exam centers, all candidates are required to provide a self-declaration mentioning that they do not have fever, cough, cold, diarrhoea, or breathing problems.
  • Admit Card and other required documents must be displayed while maintaining social distance.
  • Candidates must wear a face mask at the exam center.
  • Sanitation items like sanitizer must be carried by each student.
  • Each student must carry their own transparent water bottle.
  • NMAT exam authorities recommend face shield and gloved for extra safety.
  • A social distance of at least 3 meters must be maintained while standing or seating inside the exam center.
  • Admit card and other id documents must be kept on the table to allow the invigilator to verify without hassle.
  • Inside the test center, no guardians will be allowed. Only candidates can enter.

Along with the printout of the confirmation e-mail, candidates must carry their admit card and two valid photo ID proofs (primary and secondary ID).

Here is the list of Primary IDs, out of which candidate must carry anyone:

NMAT by GMAC Exam Centre FAQs

Ques. Why is a printout of the confirmation e-mail required and how should the candidate get it?

Ans.  Candidate is informed about the schedule of the test on the e-mail ID that the candidate has mentioned in his NMAT Application Form. The printout of the confirmation e-mail will describe details such as date of examination, time of examination, and center allocated to the candidate along with its address.

Ques. What is the importance of NMAT admit card?

Ans.  Candidate must carry the admit card to the exam center. It holds the registration details and photographs. It is a prerequisite to be eligible to sit in the examination. Along with the admit card, the candidate must have a confirmation e-mail printout, valid ID proof, and his/her photograph.

Ques. When should a candidate report at the allotted NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam center?

Ans.  Candidate must reach the NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam center 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

Ques. Will candidates be allowed to take the test if they enter late at NMAT by GMAC 2021 examination hall?

Ans.  Candidate will only be allowed to sit for the exam if he is late with a maximum limit of 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

Ques. What if the candidate does not appear for NMAT by GMAC 2021?

Ans.  If a candidate fails to appear for the examination on the first attempt and subsequently in the second and third attempt, he will be declared as a “no show”. It will be treated as an attempt. The candidate will be given 3 attempts at NMAT by GMAC as per GMAC policy and “no show” will be treated as an attempt.

Ques.  How will a candidate be identified on the day of NMAT by GMAC examination?

Ans.  The candidate will be made to submit his digital photograph and digital signatures. These will be kept for further records. The candidate who refuses to get his identity processed digitally will not be allowed to sit for the examination and it is important to note that the candidate will be under video surveillance while he/she will be appearing for the NMAT by GMAC 2021 examination.

Ques. Should the name of the candidate on the ID proof match with the name of the candidate appearing for the test?

Ans.  The name of the candidate should match the name on the ID proof. The candidate must carry supporting documents of verification with him to NMAT by GMAC 2020 test center.

Ques. Should the candidate appearing for NMAT by GMAC 2021 carry his own rough sheet for calculations?

Ans.  The candidate should abide by the rules strictly and not carry any paper except the required documents at the time of examination. If a candidate is found to be using unfair means within the premises of the examination hall, his examination paper shall stand canceled.

Ques. Is there any break during NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam?

Ans.  There are no breaks scheduled while the examination goes on but the candidate can go on unscheduled break while the clock will keep ticking.

Ques. What happens if a test taker clicks “NO, I do not accept” on Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) screen by mistake?

Ans.  If a candidate clicks on the “NO, I do not Accept” option by mistake, he will be made to confirm the decision on the next page. But if he deliberately chooses the same option, he/she will not be able to take the examination. The examination shall end then and there only for the day.

Ques. While reviewing the questions, if the candidate selects the “End Review” button unintentionally, will he be able to rectify the mistake?

Ans.  If the candidate chooses the “End Review” option unintentionally, he will proceed to the confirmation page where he can decline the “End Review” option and resume the reviewing procedure.

Ques. What if the computer malfunctions during the examination?

Ans. If during the examination, the candidate faces a computer malfunctioning, he should inform the examination administrator and bring it to his notice. No answers entered earlier will be gone. The examination administrator will reboot the computer system and the time will stop till the malfunction is fixed. When the candidate will start with the examination again the answers entered earlier will appear again and the time will start automatically.

Ques. What if the candidate faces any problem with the content of the questions?

Ans.  If a candidate faces any challenge with the content of the question, he should inform the examination administrator and continue with other questions.

Hello Laxmi, greetings from Collegedunia. No, currently there are no provisions to change the exam centers for NMAT.

2 week ago i filled my NMAT application form in that form I dont got option of exam centre but my payment is done, now how could I get exam centre plz tell me

Hello Sonali, may be you are misleading because the choice to select preferred exam center is given at the time of registration. Candidates have to fill the choices of exam centers in the stipulated time frame. After passing the deadline, candidates cannot edit the application form.
