SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern, Questions, Weightage, Books and Syllabus

Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) will release the notification and exam pattern for SPSAT 2022 on its official website spsu.ac.in. SPSAT 2022 will be a computer based test i.e. the mode of the test is online. The test paper will be available in English language only.

  • The duration of test will be 45 minutes.
  • It will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) i.e. objective type questions.
  • The total number of questions asked in SPSAT 2022 will be 40.

The syllabus will be based on Higher Secondary or Graduation level knowledge depending on the course opted for. Difficulty level of the entrance exam is generally of easy to moderate level. SPSAT (Sir Padampat Singhania Admission Test) is an online university level exam conducted by SPSU, Udaipur.

It is a portal for aspirants seeking admission to various UG, PG and Doctorate programs in Engineering and Management offered by the university.

Pattern Detail

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern in Detail

SPSAT 2022 will be a computer based online test. The medium of language of the entrance exam will be English only. It will consist of 40 objective questions to be solved within a duration of 45 minutes. The maximum marks an aspirant can score in SPSAT 2022 are 40. Students must select the most appropriate answer out of the 4 alternatives given. Candidates should note that negative marking scheme will not be applicable for this exam.

The segregation of questions and syllabus will vary from course to course. Individuals can choose to attempt the question paper in the order they want. There will be no restriction regarding solving a particular section within a stipulated time period. Sectional cut off will also not be applicable. The exam pattern for various courses is given in detail below.

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern for B.Tech

The exam will consist of 40 MCQs to be solved within 45 minutes. The question paper will be divided into 4 sections – Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics. Students who wish to pursue B.Tech Biotechnology will have to attempt Biology instead of Mathematics. Each section will have 10 questions of 1 mark each.

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern for M.Tech, MSc and Ph.D

The test will consist of 40 MCQs to be solved within 45 minutes. The exam paper will consist of questions from the respective fields.

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern for MCA

The total number of questions asked will be 40 MCQs which should be solved within 45 minutes. The question paper will be divided into 4 sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Awareness. Every section will have 10 questions of 1 mark each.

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern for B.Com (Honors)/ BBA/ BHM/ MBA

The duration of exam will be 45 minutes and will consist of 40 objective type questions. The paper will be divided into 4 segments – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Awareness. Each section carries 10 marks adding upto 40 marks.

SPSAT 2022 Exam Pattern for Ph.D (Management)

The exam will be 45 minutes long and will consist of 40 MCQs. The questions asked will be from respective fields.


Marking Scheme

SPSAT 2022 Marking Scheme

Participants must know the marking scheme in order to decide how to attempt the questions in the entrance examination. There has been no change in the marking scheme of SPSAT 2022 and it will be same as it was for the year 2017. Students must note that negative marking will not be applicable for the test. The marking scheme is given as follows:

  • +1 mark will be awarded to aspirants for marking every accurate answer.
  • There will be no penalty of marks charged for marking incorrect or wrong answers i.e. negative marking will not be applicable
  • Marks will not be deducted from the total score of the participants for leaving a question blank or failure in attempting it.
  • Sectional cut off score and sectional time limit will not be applicable for the exam.

Syllabus 2022

SPSAT 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for SPSAT 2022 will be based on higher secondary level knowledge for UG programs and graduation level for PG courses. It will be as decided by SPSU for every field. Individuals must make sure that they follow the right syllabus to prepare well for the exam. The course wise syllabus is given as follows:

B.Tech

The syllabus for SPSAT 2022 B.Tech course will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English from class 11 and 12 of the state board. Applicants are advised to study from the state board books thoroughly. The English section will be easy and scoring. Its main topics are:

  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary
  • Spot the error
  • Active and Passive Voice
  • Idioms and Phrases
  • Jumbled Paragraphs
  • Sentence Completion
  • Correction of Sentences
  • Synonyms and Antonyms
  • Comprehension of passages

M.Tech, MSc and PhD

Aspirants must follow the entire syllabus of the graduate degree course of the respective field. Questions from all years of the UG program will be asked.

MCA/ B.Com (Honors)/ BBA/ BHM/ MBA

The syllabus will be of 10+2 level and at par with any national level test for the particular course. Students must be aware of the general events happening around them for the past year. The syllabus for English will be same as that for the B.Tech course. The important topics for the 4 sections are as stated below-

It is the responsibility of every aspirant to ensure that they follow some rules and regulations to maintain the decorum of the exam hall so that SPSAT 2022 examination proceeds properly.

  • Students must mark the answers using the optical response sheet. A digital clock will be displayed at the top right corner. The test will close automatically after the time period of 45 minutes is over.
  • Individuals can attempt the questions in any order they want as there is no sectional time limit.
  • Participants should make sure that they have proper internet connection while attempting the exam.
