On the basis of TISSNET Results, candidates will be shortlisted for TISS selection procedure which includes re-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). The combined scores will be used to create a final admission list.

TISSNET 2023 Merit List

In order to understand the merit list and its calculation and its procedure, we first have to be acquainted with the marking system of all the selection rounds viz.TISSNET 2023, Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview. Details are as follows:

How is TISSNET 2023 Merit List Prepared?

For the purpose of merit list preparation, the distribution of marks of all stages is given in the above table. The process for Reserved Category and General Category candidates is the same. The TISSNET merit list 2023 will be prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated at the time of filling the  Application Form. (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list)

TISSNET Results – Tie Breaker

When a tie exists between two candidates, the following standards are followed:

  1. At first, the TISSNET PI marks of the candidates will be compared.
  2. In case the PI marks of both the candidates are equal, then PIT marks will be compared.
  3. If the PIT marks are also equal, then the entrance score of both the candidates will be taken into consideration.
  4. Again if the entrance score comes equal, then the candidate older in age will be given preference over the one younger in age.

Rules for Preparation of TISSNET Wait-list

  1. Candidates who get admission to the program of their first preference will not be on TISSNET waitlists for any other program mentioned in their list of preferences.
  2. If a candidate gets admission into any program which is their second preference, will only be retained in the waitlist of the first preference. A candidate who gets admission into any program which is their third preference will be retained in the waitlist of their first and second preference
  3. Candidates, who got admitted in a program lower in their order of preferences, will be retained in the wait-list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that program are filled.
  4. In case, the candidate qualified in two programs at the same time, when the waitlist is activated, the higher preference will prevail. The Institute will offer admission only to the higher preference.
  5. When a candidate who has already taken admission in a program as per the first merit list is subsequently offered a higher preference when the waitlist is activated, he will be moved into the program of higher preference and will be informed.
