Ans. TS POLYCET qualified candidates can pursue Diploma programs in Engineering/Technology/Non-Engineering disciplines at various Polytechnic Institutions (Aided/Unaided/Private) and Institutions running as 2nd shift in Private Engineering Colleges in the state of Telangana State.

Ans. The State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET), Telangana does not prescribe any upper age limit for TS POLYCET applicants. However, for awarding scholarships to TS POLYCET qualified candidates, Social Welfare (Edn.) Department’s guidelines regarding the maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is followed.

Ans. Just securing a TS POLYCET merit rank does not entitle you to a guaranteed seat at your preferred institute, unless you satisfy the eligibility conditions specified for admission.

Ans. Academic Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and D. Pharmacy is 10 + 2. Candidates willing to pursue these programs need not appear in TS POLYCET 2023. SBTET will issue a separate notification for admission into these programs.

Ans. TS POLYCET Candidatures are liable for rejection on the following grounds:

• Incomplete application form including photograph, candidate and parent’s signature.
• Incorrect or false information entered by the candidate in the application form.
• Not fulfilling the eligibility conditions.
• Application Form submitted without the requisite application fee.

Ans. Candidates will have to mark their responses to each question on the OMR Sheet by carefully shading the appropriate circle with HB/2B pencil only. A Ballpoint pen can be used only to sign, write their name, roll number etc. in designated sections.

Ans. Candidates need to score at least 30% of the total score or 36 out of 120 to qualify the entrance exam.

Ans. No. Requests for reevaluation or re-totaling will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Ans. The following tie-breaker rules are considered in case of a tie during merit ranking in TS POLYCET.

• Marks scored first in Mathematics and followed by Physics
• Date of Birth – the older candidate will be given preference.
• In case the tie is still not resolved after application of the above rules, the candidate who has scored higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given precedence, to resolve the tie.

Ans. The TS POLYCET 2023 results will be released by SBTE&T on the official website. Candidates can access their results from the websites https://polycetts.nic.in or http://sbtet.telangana.gov.in or from any Coordinating-cum-Helpline center. The rank Cards are available to download from the websites one week after the results are declared.

Ans: The detailed counselling and admission schedule will be publicly notified via leading newspapers, post TS POLYCET results, inviting candidates for certificate verification and option entry. This Notification is to be treated as a call letter. SBTET will not issue or send separate call letters to attend the admission camp. Ans. In the Multi-Point Entry and Credit system, eligible candidates get pre-determined credits for select subjects, as decided by an expert committee. Through MPEC, a candidate can finish the Diploma earlier than the stipulated period. TS POLYCET 2023 qualified candidates who have completed either 10 + 2, 10 + ITI, 10 + Intermediate (Vocational) or 3-year Degree Courses in Sciences are eligible for Multi-Point Entry and Credit System (MPEC).

Ans. Allotment of seats is based on a computer program that considers the merit of the candidate and the reservation status to find the best possible seat among the eligible options.

Ans. Candidates will have to download the allotment order and fee payment challan for payment through designated bank branches. Once payment is made, candidates should report at the allotted college and present the allotment order and fee payment challan within the stipulated time.

Ans: Candidates who fail to report within the stipulated time at the allotted college or do not make the fee payment within the deadline will have to forego all claims on admission through TS POLYCET 2023.
