UCEED 2023 Result: Round 1 Seat Allotment (Out), Seat Acceptance Fees, Counselling, Scorecard

UCEED 2023 Result was released on March 9, 2023. Candidates who have participated in the exam can download the result from the official website by entering their login ID and password. Qualified candidates have to apply for the B.Des and participate in the counselling process.

IIT Bombay released the scorecard of UCEED 2023 on the official website. The scorecard was issued to all candidates who have appeared in the UCEED 2023 entrance exam. UCEED 2023 Counselling will begin after the declaration of the result.

UCEED 2023 Counselling is being done in 3 stages. As part of the application filing process, the candidate had to select their choice of UCEED 2023 Participating Institutes in the order of priority.

How to Check UCEED 2023 Results?

UCEED 2023 Results has been declared on March 9, 2023, on the official website of UCEED. Candidates can check their UCEED 2023 Results by following the steps given below:

  • Step 1: Visit the admissions page of UCEED i.e. www.iitb.ac.in
  • Step 2: Scroll down to the end of the page to find a link for entrance exams
  • Step 3: Select UCEED exam
  • Step 4:  Click on the Login button at the bottom of the page.
  • Step 5: The login page will open. Candidates will have to log in using their email id and password.
  • Step 6: After successfully logging in, candidates can now click on the result option.
  • Step 7: UCEED 2023 Result scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
  • Step 8: Download and take a printout of UCEED 2023 Result for future reference.

UCEED 2023 Final Answer Key are available for download on the official UCEED website. Candidates can check and compare their answers with the correct ones. To download the answer key candidates can follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the official website www.iitb.ac.in and look for the “Downloads” tab at the top of the home page.
  2. Click on the “Downloads” tab.
  3. This will open the “Downloads” page.
  4. From the list of options, click on the link named “Final Answer Keys”.
  5. This will open the Answer Keys in a PDF format which can be downloaded or printed if needed.

Details on UCEED 2023 Score Card

UCEED 2023 Score Card contains important information that is required during provisional seat allotment. The details present are as follows:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number
  • Registration number
  • Category of candidate
  • Maximum marks in all the sections
  • Scores obtained by candidates in each section
  • Overall Scores obtained by candidates

UCEED 2023 Seat Allotment

Three rounds of seat allocation will be conducted. However, once the seats are filled, the seat allocation will be closed. Seats will be allotted based on the applicant's UCEED rank, category and choice of institutes. Selected candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters via their registered email, and will be directed to an online payment system. Seat Allotment Fees for different categories are as follows:

Joint Seat Allotment will be governed by the following rules: 

  • If the selected candidates do not remit the seat acceptance fee before the given deadline or decline the admission, their application will stand cancelled. These vacant seats will be filled during the subsequent rounds of seat allotment. 
  • If an applicant is allotted his/her FIRST choice of the institute, the candidate can either ACCEPT (‘freeze’) the choice or DECLINE the offer. 
  • If an applicant is allotted hi. her SECOND or THIRD choice of the institute, the candidate can either opt to either ACCEPT (‘freeze’) the choice or accept with the option to be considered for upward movement (“float”) the choice for the subsequent round(s), if any, of the joint seat allocation. 
  • In the “freezing” option, candidates accept the offer and indicate that they do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission. 
  • In the “floating” option, the candidate ACCEPT the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an institute of her higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted institute. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
  • If a candidate has paid the seat acceptance fee and opts for withdrawal either during the end of the first round or before the end of the second round will get a refund after deducting seat cancellation and processing charges of INR 3000. 

  • No refund will be allowed after the end of the last round. No refund is given post 3rd round as there is no option of “float” of the seats after the third round.

UCEED Rank List

UCEED 2023 Rank List

UCEED 2023 Rank List will be released on the official website based on the ranks obtained by candidates. Candidates will be called for admission based on their rank in the merit list.

  • Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part A and Part B combined) in UCEED 2023. 
  • There will only be ONE rank list. However, candidates will be able to check their provisional category wise standing from the results page. 
  • If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks: 
  • A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B. 
  • A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part A’s Section 2. 
  • If this does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part A’s Section 2. 
  • If this does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part A’s Section 1. 
  • If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.
  • Only candidates who score the minimum percentage prescribed marks in both Part A (section wise) and Part B, each section of the question paper and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed marks vary with the category as shown in the table below. 
  • However, the UCEED Committee reserves the right to decrease the minimum % of marks in each section as well as the minimum total marks such as that 10 X N ranks can be announced, where N is the total number of available seats.

UCEED Admission Rounds

UCEED 2023 Admission Rounds

Candidates who will clear UCEED 2023 cut off will be eligible to participate in the Admission rounds. Admission lists will be created and uploaded on the official website. There are no other rounds after the examination like GD and PI. The admission lists are made based on merit. Qualifying candidates will be allotted seats according to the preference indicated by the candidate in the application form, availability of seats and category of the candidates.

UCEED 2023 cut off is released after the result declaration. Candidates who clear the minimum cut off will be able to participate in the UCEED Admission rounds. Candidates can check the cutoff given below.

Factors affecting cut off are mentioned below

  1. The number of seats available is one of the major factors affecting the cutoff.
  2. Cut off also depends on the level of the difficulty of the paper.
  3. The number of candidates appearing for the exam will vary the cut-off. The higher the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the higher will be the cutoff.
  4. Number of Candidates passing the exam.

UCEED Committee reserves the right to decrease the minimum % of marks in each section as well as the minimum total marks such that 10×N ranks can be announced, where N is the total number of available seats.

Ques.  What is the UCEED tie-breaking policy? 

Ans. If in case there is a tie between two or more candidates, then there will be a tie-breaking policy that will be taken into account while preparing the merit list of UCEED 2023. 

  • Candidates with more marks in Section B will be given preference and they’ll get a higher ranking. 
  • If the tie still persists, then candidates with more marks in Section A will be given a higher ranking. 
  • In case the tie is still persistent, then both will be given the same rank. 

Ques. What is the system for UCEED Counselling and Seat Allotment 2023? 

Ans. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will conduct the counselling process of UCEED 2023 for admission to its 4 years bachelor's degree of the design programme. The registration process of UCEED counselling process will start after the declaration of UCEED result 2023. 

On the basis of UCEED 2023 result, the first allotment list will be released on the official website. UCEED seat allotment will be conducted in two phases – a number of seats available after the first round and UCEED 2023 counselling second round will be conducted.

Ques. What is application counselling processing fee for UCEED 2023 applicants? 

Ans. B.Des admission application counselling processing fee for all applicants for all categories and genders is INR 2000. 

Ques. How many rounds of seat allocation will be conducted for UCEED? 

Ans. Three rounds of seat allocation will be conducted. However, once the seats are filled, the seat allocation will be closed. Seats will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s UCEED rank, category and choice of institutes.

Ques. What is the UCEED 2023 Seat Acceptance Fee? 

Ans. Fees are as follows: 

  • General / EWS / OBC – NCL: INR 60,000
  • SC / ST / PwD: INR 15,000

Candidates offered seats have to remit the seat acceptance fee only once. Thus candidates who are allotted another seat (because they chose the ‘float’ option) do not have to pay the seat acceptance fee again.  

For candidates who accept offered seats, the seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the institute fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining. For candidates who decline the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund will be governed by the policies of the admitting institute.
