UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2022: Dates (Out), Pattern, Syllabus

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam Dates have been announced by DUVASU. As per the schedule, the Pre Veterinary Test (PVT) Preliminary Examination will be conducted on August 28, 2022 while Main Examination will be conducted on September 25, 2022. The Pre Diploma Entrance Test (PDTET) for Diploma Programme will be conducted on September 11, 2022. 

UP Vterinary Entrance Exam consisted of three tests- Pre Veterinary Test (PVT) will be conducted for BVSc and AH program admissions, Pre Diploma Entrance Test (PDET) for Diploma Program admissions and Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) for MVSc and PhD admissions. The UP Veterinary Entrance Exams admit card will be released on August 21, 2022. 

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam will be conducted offline (Pen-paper mode). Candidates have to answer 200 multiple choice questions in 180 minutes. But PGET paper will have 100 multiple-choice questions.

UP Veterinary Eligibility

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2022 Eligibility

Candidates must carefully check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before they start filling out the UP Veterinary Entrance Exam application. Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply. The eligibility criteria for various programmes available are shown in the table below.

Degree Course Candidates must have appeared and passed in the 12th Board Examination or its equivalent recognized examination from a Statutory Indian Board / Institute with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and any other elective subjects. Candidates must have studied English as one of the compulsory subjects. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English subjects. Candidates should have secured a minimum 35% marks in physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English subjects. Minimum age should be 17 years.

How to Apply?

How to Apply for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2022?

Application procedure for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2022 begins with the online registration of candidates. There is no offline method of submitting the application. Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the application form filling procedure.

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates must visit the official website (upvetuniv.edu.in).
  • New Users must first register themselves by clicking on the relevant link,
  • Aspirants must provide basic details such as Name, Father’s Name, and mother’s name. Valid Email ID also must be provided as Login Credentials for further steps will be sent to this email id.

Step 2: Application Form Filling

  • Using the Login Credentials received in the registered email Id, candidates must proceed to fill in UP Veterinary Entrance application form.
  • All Personal Details including gender, nationality, religion, birthplace, caste category, examination centre preference and address details including PIN code must be entered.
  • Candidates must then enter all the details asked about the Education Qualification.

Step 3: Upload of Photo, Signature and Thumb Impression

  • Next step is the upload of required documents. These include upload of high quality scanned images of candidate’s passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression in the prescribed format. No other documents are required to be uploaded.
  • Other documents are required only at the time of verification process during counselling.
  • Size of files containing scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression cannot exceed 80kb each. All scanned images must be in .jpeg format.

Step 4: Application Form Fee Payment

  • After uploading photograph, signature and thumb impression, candidates must proceed to pay the requisite application form fee of Rs 1,500.
  • This fee can be paid in one of the online methods. This includes Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking.
  • This fee cannot be paid in any of the offline methods.
  • Once UP Veterinary Entrance application form fee is successfully paid, the completed application form will be generated which contains the Registration Number.  Candidates must carefully make note of this.
  • After Submitting the application form online, candidates can take a print of the filled-in application form for any further future reference.
