XIC (Xavier Institute of Communications) Mumbai conducts the XIC OET i.e. Online Entrance Test to screen the candidates for admission into Post-graduate Diploma Courses being offered by it in the field of mass communication. XIC OET 2022 will be tentatively scheduled from April 22, 2022(tentatively).
- XIC OET 2022 Exam pattern comprises two sections.
- Part A will be objective and Part B will comprise subjective questions.
- Total duration will be 90 minutes i.e. 60 minutes for Part A and 30 minutes for Part B.
- The objective section carries 100 marks, including questions based on general knowledge, language and media.
- The subjective section carries three questions of total 50 marks and questions will include essay writing, creative writing and opinion piece.

XIC OET 2022 Exam Pattern in Detail
The exam pattern for XIC OET 2022 is designed in a way that it comprises both objective and subjective sections. The applicants qualifying in the entrance exam will be required to appear and qualify in the next round of examinations which will include Personal Interview and Group Discussion
Part I: Objective Type Questions

Part II: Subjective Type Questions
- Essay Writing on any current affair topic (200 words)
- Opinion Piece (250 words)

Note: In subjective section, candidates need to write answers in proper English language. Any answer containing SMS language or short forms will not be evaluated.
XIC OET 2022 Important Points
All the important information related to exam is given below
- The test will be conducted in online mode i.e. computer-based test (CBT).
- The exam duration will be 90minutes.
- The question paper will have two parts, namely subjective and objective.
- The objective part will have 100 questions of 100 marks.
- The subjective part of the question paper will be of 50 marks.
- Total marks for the exam will be 150.
- After qualifying the CBT, candidates will be called to appear for an interview.
- Candidates, who have applied for PR, MCM and AICP courses, they will not be required to appear for Personal Video Interview session (skype video calling)

XIC OET 2022 Important Instructions
Appearing candidates should follow the important instruction provided below
- In order to utilize the time in an efficient way, the candidates are advised to solve the easy and direct questions first as these questions won’t take much time to be answered.
- Candidates need to attach the same passport size photograph on the admit card as will be uploaded on the application form.
- All the examinees must carry a printed copy of the downloaded call letter along with a photo id proof, in original.
- Candidates can carry any of the photo id proofs (Aadhar card, passport, pan card, etc.).
Note: Don’t forget to carry the admit card and id proof to the examination hall, without these documents you will not be allowed to sit in the exam
