The university was founded in 2006, by the government of Punjab Division, with the vision to serve the nation by creating excellent lawyers, administrators, judicial officers, and inquisitive researchers. The institute campus is spread across 50 Acres, having a Library Building, Sports Complex, Auditorium, Girl's and Boy's Hostels, Guest House, Health Centre, Community Hall, Stadium, Residences, and Academic-cum-Administrative Block.
