DG Vaishnav College, Chennai follows semester pattern cum choice based credit system. Each semester is of 90 days. There are 4 semesters for PG courses and 6 semesters for UG courses. Thus, PG courses are of 2 years duration and UG courses are of 3 years.

Minimum Passing Marks 2023

There is no passing minimum for internals. For UG programs, the students must obtain 40% (24/60) marks in aggregate except for B.com (Hons.). For all PG courses and B.com (Hons.) course, the minimum marks required respectively in theory and practical exam are 50% (30/60).

For courses with project work the passing minimum will be 50% of the maximum marks given. In the aggregate (external & Internal) the passing minimum shall be 40% for UG courses.

Any applicant is declared passed (in UG and B Com (Hons.), if they pass all the papers and practical by earning 140 credits in Part I, II, III, IV& V.

The student must also fulfil the extension activities by earning a minimum of 1 credit to qualify for the degree in the case of UG. For Part and PG programs except MCA, applicant must have earned 90 credits.

In the case of MCA, an aggregate of 135 credits should be earned to be declared passed. The B.com (Hons.) students will be declared passed if they get 165 credits in aggregate.

DG Vaishnav College Revaluation Procedure 2023

DG Vaishnav College has released a notification for revaluation/ Request for answer script of End semester examinations conducted in the month of November 2019. Students who wish to apply for Revaluation can visit COE Counter No 7 of Admin block at the institute. The application fee for UG students is INR 500/- and PG student is INR 250/- . Student must carry a photocopy of their identity card as a mandatory attachment with the form. 

Photocopy of the answer script is mandatory if applying for revaluation. A student must pay an additional INR 250/- for getting the photocopy of the answer script.
