GO-KART TEAM OF AISSMS COE PUNE RANKS 2 ALL OVER INDIA!

Students of AISSMS COE of Resonance Racing Go-kart team achieved an AlR 2 in the National event REEV Virtuals 2022 organised by SAE. REEV a Range Extended Electric Vehicle design competition organised by SAE India, looks forward to confluence future technology, scale and problem-solving techniques regarding hybrid vehicles. 

Society of Automotive Engineers, India (SAE India) partner of SAE International is an Indian non-profit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility in India. Out of multiple colleges from all over India, students of AISSMS College of Engineering successfully bagged an All-India Rank of 2. 

The AISSMS COE Go-kart Team for the REEV event was led by Captain Siddhesh Borse and Vice-Captain Akshat Arage from Fourth and Third year of Mechanical Engineering respectively. “The moral, monetary and managerial support from Principal Dr. D. S. Bormane, Mentor Dr. A. V. Waghmare, Head of the department (Mechanical) Dr. B. D. Bachchaav and faculty advisor Dr. M. R. Phate has played a key role to take the AISSMS COE Go-kart team to the level it is at right now” said Captain Siddhesh Borse

“Along with being the vice-captain I got to present about the designing process, designed vehicle and the analysis carried. It was also a responsibility to maintain a cordial work environment within the team. The sheer effort put in by each and every member has helped us achieve this goal. We look forward to work even more efficiently and keep bringing glory to our college” said Vice-captain Akshat Arage. 

Mr. Shubham Landage from Third year of Mechanical engineering received a special appreciation as a ‘Distinguished presenter for REEV Virtuals 2022’. “Presenting about vehicle dynamics, steering system and brakes of our designed vehicle on behalf of the team was an opportunity I considered highly crucial, and gave my best shot”, said Shubham Landage. 

The team also bagged an All-India Rank of 1 in group 4 which considerably concentrates on Design failure mode and effective analysis, Vehicle performance, Procurement plan, Bill of Material, Business Presentation, Mass and cost book. 

The Business presentation was delivered by Team Manager Samarjeet Aherrao from Third year of Mechanical Engineering. “Business presentation was going to be the essence of our designed vehicle; as the value of a product is predominantly defined in the market, and we were geared up for it!”, said TM Samarjeet Aherrao.

The students strategically focused on multiple tasks dedicated to field of electric hybrid vehicles. The work was mainly divided into four main categories, viz Design and analysis, Powertrain, Vehicle Dynamics and Braking system. The team consisted of members from second, third and fourth year of engineering. The other members of the team were Pooshan Raul, Kaushal More, Suhani Patil, Mayur Bhosale, Parag Dhamane, Gauranj Gujarathi, Manoj Gore, Darshak Kamani, Aditya Patil, Parshwal Gujar, Heramb Khandve, Vishwajeet Ghatage, Sahil Pawar, Aayush Dhokne and Shreeyash Chandgude. 

Resonance Racing is a Collegiate Motorsports club of AISSMS COE which provides an opportunity for students to pursue their passion for automobile engineering. GO-KART is a subsidiary of Resonance Racing which was started in 2014 with an aim of competing in National level Go Karting Championships

In All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Engineering NCIET-2022: An Initiative to Preserve Chhatrapati Shri Shahu Maharaj's Legacy of Educational, Social and Technological Innovation an Interdisciplinary ((Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Department of Mechanical Sandwich, Department of Production Sandwich, etc.) conference was organized in hybrid mode. 

Dr. D.G. Bhalke, Conference Chair said that, the main objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for students, research practitioners, experts, educators, scientists and engineers to present their innovative research work and exchange their innovative ideas in the field of technology. Participants were from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra etc. Out of the total 133 research papers received from 8 different states, 68 research papers were selected. 

Over the next two decades, AI, machine learning, big data, etc. will prove to be opportunistic field of extensive research. Prepare yourself to make a significant contribution to the industry by acquiring different technologies and acquiring high skills, said the distinguished guest Shri. Sachin Mhaske (Regional Lead, Western Region, Nasscom).

In order to make human life better and environment sustainable, different engineering departments need to work together in the field of technological innovation, said the chief guest, Mr. Bhavesh Shah (Manager, Medical Business Unit, Tata Elexi).

Innovation in technology is an important pillar of the country, innovation is an ongoing process and the legacy of Chhatrapati Shri. Shahu Maharaj's educational, social and technological innovation is being nurtured through such programs said Suresh Pratap Shinde (Joint Secretary, AISSM Society).

Dr. D. S. Boramne (Chairman, Board of Studies, Savitribai Phule University and Principal, AISSMS Engineering College) highlighted the fact that among the students skills and demonstration-based education are needed to cultivate a passion for research, and such research conferences are important.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. R. R. Itkarkar (Conference Coordinator). The program was moderated by Dr. Mrs. Deepali Ujalamkar (Conference Coordinator, Computer Department).

Hon. Secretary, Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati congratulated all conference committee members for organising such conference which is need of hours. Mr Ajay Patil, Treasurer, AISSMS Society were also present during inauguration function. 


SMARTGEN: Online IEEE International Conference Organized by AISSMS COE, Pune

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering of AISSMS College of Engineering in association with IEEE Pune Section & AISSMSCOE IEEE Student Branch (STB-98723) is organizing the Online IEEE International Conference on Smart Generation Computing, Communication and Networking SMARTGEN) on 29th and 30th October 2021. AISSMS COE has received a total of 710 research papers from other countries and all over India, out of that 157 papers are accepted and registered for this conference. SMARTGEN is an excellent platform to collaborate and showcase high-end research and Industry Initiatives opportunities, opportunities to know, and listen to well-known and experts who are into smart generation technology. The conference this year is aimed to witness knowledge sharing and showcasing of Computing, Communication and Networking arena products by scientists and practitioners from academia, industry, and Government Organizations.

This event will be inaugurated on 29th October in presence of Shri. Malaojiraje Chhatrapati (Secretary, AISSMS Society), Dr. Nitin R Karmalkar (Vice-Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University), Dr. Girish Khillari (Chair, IEEE Pune Section), Dr. Deepak L Waikar (Professor, National University of Singapore), Dr. D.S.Bormane (Principal AISSMS COE, Chairman BoS, Savitribai Phule Pune University & General Chair-SMARTGEN 2021), Dr. V. Ceremony of 16th AISSMS Engineering Today 2021

“The engineer has been and is, a maker of history" on Wednesday, 29th September 2021, the inauguration ceremony of “AISSMS Engineering Today-2021” was held in an online mode. “Engineering Today” is a platform that serves as a golden opportunity for each and every individual to showcase their talents and win amazing prizes. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Wing Commander, Mr. Pradeep Prabhakar, Ex. Indian Air Force and IPS Mr. Kiran Chavan, currently serving the state of Chhattisgarh as an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Mr. Pradip Prabhakar emphasized the unique importance of the work of engineers and the new ideas they can develop and implement for the development of India. He said “Engineers can play a major role in empowering the country on the defense front. Currently, India is creating a distinct identity in the world because of its developments and is becoming one of the most powerful nations in the world. No one can stop India from becoming a superpower”, while he addressed the youth of AISSMS College of Engineering. He even acknowledged the fact that activities like 'Engineering Today' are very important for India in this modern age. Shri Kiran Chavan, Assistant Superintendent of Police, shared his life experiences and his struggle to become an ASP and also shared his joy of serving on a crucial mission at such a tender age of 28. He gave the prime example of Shivaji Maharaj and enlightened the youth by saying, “Set a goal, have a vision and have the larger picture in mind to serve society. Ask yourself how you can make your life fruitful with your contributions just as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had a great vision and gave his life for the society. He devised an idea of what could be done for gaining Swarajya, so let us take inspiration from him and live for others”

Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, Hon. Joint Secretary, AISSM Society while addressing the audience said "Our aim is to make engineers multi-dimensional and motivate our students to provide effective and applicable solutions to some persistent issues of society. He welcomed the students participating in the various online competitions and gave his best wishes for all the events" Principal, Dr.D.S. Bormane highlighted the academic and other notable achievements of the Institute. He also laid emphasis on the various events conducted to make the students technically strong and globally employable.

During the inaugural function of “SciTech Ideathon” held on 30th September 2021, Dr. Pankaj Koinkar, the Chief Guest of the function enlightened the audience with his expertise in the field of Nano Technology. He greatly emphasized the use of Nano Technology and its great potential in the future to serve in diverse fields such as automobiles, textile, etc. He also said nanotechnology is also contributing to making chips smaller”

The 16th“AISSMS Engineering Today-2021” event came to a grand closure with the “Excellence Award Distribution Ceremony. Chief Guest Dr. S. M. Ali Director (Membership), Institution of Engineers (India) HQ, Kolkatta, Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, Hon. Joint Secretary, AISSM Society, Principal, AISSMS COE Dr. D. S. BormaneProf. Nitin Mawale Overall Coordinator of the event graced the occasion. The 3-day virtual event attracted 2500+ participants from all over India. All the dignitaries greatly appreciated the event. The chief guest spoke highly about the institute and promised to contribute to converting the same into an international event. The prize distribution ceremony was successfully completed virtually by displaying and announcing the award winners for the different competitions held. The Overall Excellence in Performance inAISSMSET-2021, sponsorship awards and Grand Participation Award went to the Electronics and TelecommunicationEngg. department Also, the Maximum Participation Award (ExternalInstitute) went to MIET, Meerut Dr. Mayank Garg, Director. 16th AISSMS Engineering Today-2021

In honour of engineer’s day, we inculcate the profession and celebrate the bright engineers of tomorrow. All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College Of Engineering, Pune-01 is organizing a three-day student’s national level technical symposium and exposition – 16th AISSMS Engineering Today -2021 from 29th September to 1st October 2021. We as engineers need to remain up to date with the changing trends in society and which is why we have implied this event even amidst the pandemic situation where it is practically impossible to meet in person. Thus, the institute has decided to conduct this national level technical symposium and exposition virtually including some enthusiastic, technically impact and fun-filled events like an internet treasure hunt, code debugging, downtown utopia, technical crossword, CAD war, tool clinic, marketing mania, mock placement, make that pitch, etc., along with some deeply awaited competitions like quizzes, paper presentations and poster making competitions. Along with knowledge, students will also get an opportunity to win exciting prizes.

1st October 2021, the last day of the national-level technical symposium and exposition has been kept reserved for the explicit and most cherished science exhibition, which this year has been taken an all-new twist. The science exhibition will be providing a platform open to all students ranging from school, junior colleges and professional colleges to participate in “SCITECH-IDEATHON” poster competition. SCITECH-IDEATHON is inviting posters from students to elevate the level of providing solutions to outstanding problems faced by society with no restrictions since the topics are limitless. They will also be rewarded with interesting prizes. The science exhibition will also include an MHT-CET quiz Competition wherein the 12th science students will get a chance to win amazing prizes, the winners of which will be declared during the valedictory function on the 1st of October 2021.

The departments of Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical and production sandwich will be organizing the various competitions for the technical upliftment of the students. The event is sponsored by various organizations like Bank of Baroda, IBS(ICFAI Business School), SAE India, Triz Association of Asia, IEI, ISTE, IETE, SESI, Lokamat, ITM, Kanexon, iNODE and IEE. This is the 16th year of organizing the National Technical Symposium. Previous years have witnessed grand success whereby around 8000 students took advantage of the events each year. A Webinar on “Entrepreneurship & Atmanirbhar Bharat for Startup India” organized by the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, AISSMS COE, Pune in collaboration with The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata on 7th July 2021. Dr. Enti Ranga Reddy (Chairman and Managing Director, Legend Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore & Chairman, AISC Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata) was a Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker for this webinar. More than 2700 participants, 10 International, and 2200+ from other states and 500+ participants from Maharashtra are benefited from this motivational, inspirational, interactive and encouraging session.

The event was inaugurated with “Saraswati Vadana” by Ms. Miheeka Khair, a student of the E&Tc Department. Overview of various Students’ Chapters, the success of IE(I) Students’ Chapter of E&Tc Department with winning National Level Best Engineering College Students’ Chapter Award consecutive 7 times, various activities organized, etc. given by Shri. N.P. Mawale (AP in E&Tc Departments and Faculty Adviser IE(I) Students Chapter). Dr. D. G. Bhalke, (Head, E&Tc Department) has given the introduction of the department and stated the motive behind organizing such kinds of webinars for the overall development of students which is helpful to build their carrier. Dr. D. S. Bormane (Chairman, BOS, SPPU, Pune & Principal, AISSMS COE, Pune) introduced AISSM Society and AISSMS COE, Pune. Also, he focused on the success achieved by students at International, National and State levels in Co-curricular Activities and in order to achieve such success along with college-level guidance, expert guidance and motivation are playing a major role. The introduction of the resource person was given by Mrs. V. S. Navale (AP in E&Tc Department).

Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker Dr. Enti Ranga Reddy, in his motivational speech, given good insight on Entrepreneurship and Startup. With day-to-day life examples (Swigy, OYO, BYJU’s, PayTM) he has made this session more interactive. He focused on Entrepreneurship, challenges faced by startups and how Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan can be made successful with Reducing imports & Increasing exports, Boosting Domestic Industries and with Self Reliant India. Also Dr. Reddy has given assurance to help in the future with various funding schemes for students and faculties by IE(I).

Dr. N N Shejwal, Faculty from COE has received the Asia-Arab Best Teacher Award- 2018 from Georgia university for his work in the field of Education and Village Development. The program was held on Sunday, September 30, 2018. The dignitaries from Asian countries and ARAB Countries were present. The award was given by PETER COREMANS, Malaysia and Dr. Patankar - Founder of Commonwealth Vocational University.
