A Professor in Mechanical Engineering, he has a knack for teaching students the pragmatic aspects by implementing what is being taught. What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style? 

“An effective leadership brings transformation”

Leadership should lead to Transformation. It should encourage, inspire, and motivate people to innovate and create change that will shape the Institution's future. It can be done by defining the objective clearly, guiding and motivating the team at every level towards achieving the goal. It is all about recognizing the team, appreciating them whenever and wherever possible. Giving them the proper freedom and ambiance to achieve the goal is essential part of appreciation. Above all, being one among them to solve issues and show them the right path for success. 

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your institution? 

“We ensure that students are abreast to current industry standards”

The emerging areas and hot topics trending in Industry and Academia worldwide are being taught in SNS which include Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, Internet of Things and Cyber Security, and others.

SNS has the Design Thinking based Curriculum and framework of 5 pillars approach, i.e., Learning and Teaching, Industry Interaction, Skill and Career Development, Creativity & Innovation, and Social Service. This Design Thinking approach is a scientific methodology that helps one to create prototypes taking into consideration the creativity, visualization, design, and redesign of things based on feedback. Thus offering the best feasible solution to any technological and socio-economic problems.

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your College?

“Knowledge is more important than education”

The students gain sound knowledge in design thinking concepts through which they approach any complex problem in day-to-day life with possible solutions. Students acquire knowledge to fulfill their diversified dreams through intensive training through industry connect projects/ capstone projects.

Students gain knowledge to be industry ready professionals through the extensive training provided in various domains. Students are put forward to choose career tracks, such as entrepreneurship, corporate recruitment, government recruitment, and higher education, based on their interests and skills. SNS offers four career tracks: Entrepreneurship, Employment, Government jobs, and Higher education. Students get to solve Industrial Problems by learning and implementing the latest Emerging innovation Technologies and identifying potential problems from the innovation industry verticals.

The SNS Student Start-up Accelerator provides funds and start-up space for entrepreneurs. We provide a student-centered environment with facilities like Innovation beyond Imagination, i.e., Liquid Studio and Piston factory having wide space where students can collaborate freely among themselves, with our faculty and hone's guidance their skills.

Any insights into how your institution could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“There is a prosperous environment for students to grow”

The institution has an inclusive atmosphere that provides students a vibrant environment. Our code of conduct attracts them to have peaceful learning with best practices. We have social responsibility initiatives to create a conducive environment among students from all communities. The institution supports impoverished background students to live a comfortable college life. Also, we support economically underprivileged and talented students under the “Single/No parent scholarship, Sports scholarship, Siblings scholarship, and all-rounder Performer scheme.” The institution promotes all the Government initiatives and Prime Minister Schemes such as PRAGATI and Saksham, Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0, Swayam Prabha.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institution and the students are?

  • To plan and execute the key responsibility of imparting knowledge and skills to the students, thereby achieving the vision of the institution to make it shine as one of the premier institutions in the country and worldwide.
  • To create a conducive environment for students and faculty both to enable a good teaching learning platform
  • To set the base for the academic, intellectual and creative work that runs all around the campus.
  • To create an inclusive community and foster an environment for the wellness of our surroundings.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students? 

“The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret to outward success” 

To the current youth and the aspiring students, they need to consider themselves as an empty bottle always, so that they could fill with so many dreams and aspirations. Chase them like a rapid fire raging behind oneself. The legendary and the successful leader’s mantra is always time management. It is a precious skill and all their tasks need to be prioritized by eliminating unnecessary work. 

It is crucial to choose proper goals and work towards it. Students should start developing their portfolio of projects right from college, create networking as their tool, get familiar with the world around them, and enhance their knowledge and skills. They need to learn to build and work in teams, adapt to take constructive criticism that will shape them as a good human being.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute? 

“Positive outlook is an essential component towards the development of a good personality”

For the students to learn, they must feel safe, engaged, connected, and supported in their classroom and Institution.
