Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science are emerging as one of the most sought skills leading to lucrative careers in cutting-edge AI technology. This course aims at providing not only the core technologies such as artificial intelligence, data mining, and data modeling but also offers intensive inputs in areas of machine learning and big data analytics taught by industry experts. Through this course, the students will gain cross-disciplinary skills across fields such as statistics, computer science, and machine learning. 

What will you say the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?

“Implementation of faculty enrichment and facilities for practical education in college premises”

Design Thinking is a fundamental practice that is used not only to develop the prototype/project but also we implement the same for teaching and learning the concept of AI and Data Science. AI and Data Science course will be taught through project-based and peer learning.AI and the Data science program curriculum is designed in such a way that projects and internships are mandatory as part of their curriculum. AI and Data Science students will be encouraged to store their projects in the “Github” project repository.

What are some valuable insights into the program that you are offering at your institute?

“Creating the exclusive facilities being prepared for the students”

For AI and Data Science program, it is planned to establish an innovation lab exclusively. This lab will provide all facilities to do the research and product development projects. Industry people mentoring will be given for learning the new technology.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

“Getting familiar with academia on being the new option on the list of arenas”

Since AI and Data science is a new program, we referred foreign university curriculum and we try to vouch for the curriculum and syllabus from industries and foreign university academicians. Also, we are not only concentrating on the designing of the curriculum but also we focus on delivering the content according to emerging trends.
