Department of Computer Science & Engineering, VVIT Guntur organized a 4-Day Workshop on “2D & 3D Game Designing using Unity 3D Software“ from March 27th to 30th, 2018, in association with the most prospectively working Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA), for the aspiring students of Computer Science and Information Technology. The 4-day workshop focused on the basics of 2D, 3D Computer Graphics, Game Designing, Content Development, Virtual Reality and related concepts along with Unity 3D Software. The workshop helped aspiring students who are working toward a career in games or interactive content.

Mr. Jainaresh, Education Manager, Unity Technologies, Hyderabad, a famous Game Designer, Producer and Consultant for the various USA, UK based companies, acted as a Resource Person. Apart from being an expert in Unity 3D, he is also exploring and fostering many people to adopt “education through gaming/play” approach. Currently, he is leading Unity India education initiatives and making Unity accessible to schools and colleges in India as a value addition for the generation Z. 

VVIT Guntur organizes a 4-day workshop on “Unity 3D”

During his inaugural speech, he motivated the participants about the importance of this workshop. He advised all the participants that it’s technology that continuously needs practice besides a natural flair towards the creative thinking and critical analysis of objects and scenes in the motion. He said those who master this Unity 3D Software can quickly befit to the industry. He commended the efforts of VVIT for organizing this kind of a workshop for the better future of the Computer Science & Engineering Students and faculty with a motive to tap the talents and to cater to their needs. 

Sri M. Satyaratnam, District Development Manager, APITA, congratulated all the participants who enrolled for this workshop and wished them to become master in the Unity 3D Technology. He said that AP state government under the prophetic vision of Hon’ble’ Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, has a consistent plan to conduct even more events as this, to enlighten the young and enthusiastic Computer Science, Information Technology students to make them highly skilled.

Sreerishna, Joint Secretary, VVIT, stated that VVIT is always a step ahead in conducting these kinds of advanced workshops for the involvement of their students in every revolutionary technological transformation that happens around the world. He emphasized that they are very fortunate to work in association with APITA.

Dr. Y. Mallikarjuna Reddy, the Principal, congratulated the participants and advised them to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning for their better future. Dr. R. Eswariah, HOD, Computer Science Engineering Department, informed that the vital objectives of this workshop were planned meticulously to be delivered within the 4 days span of time. He stated that the workshop focuses on the exploration of Unity 3D software elements and a practical demonstration of its power by taking several case studies. Prof. Suresh Kolluru, Convener of this workshop informed that a good number of 60 aspirants in Game Design and Interactive Content Management were enrolled for this workshop from CR Reddy College of Engineering, Eluru and from the host institute.
