How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“We incorporate different strategies to establish strong bonds with the students”

We promote an environment where students can discuss issues faced by them with their mentor. Each student is allocated a faculty mentor who helps students guide upon academics and personal issues. Students also approach me in case they feel my intervention can help them. During the lockdown period we organised informal online chats with students to maintain a close connect with them during these difficult times.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

“We deliver value-added practical courses which helps students gain relevant industry knowledge”

We follow the Bangalore University Curriculum, but due to several constraints, University is not able to revise the same very often. And at the same time, we have Industry, which is changing at a swift pace. To catch up on the changing demand, we equip our students with various value-added courses, such as Networking, Data Analytics, Health Care Management, Financial Accounting, Income Tax, SAP, Talent Management, etc. Students develop these skills apart from the regular university curriculum. The best parts of these value-added courses are that they are designed and delivered by Industry professionals, and the emphasis is more on the practical aspect of the content.

“Our value added courses , Guest lectures and interactions with Industry experts , guided projects and dissertations help students gain all the necessary skills required to become successful.”

How does your institute prepare students for placements?

“Students go through personality development and mock interviews which helps them crack placement offers”

We see a large influx of companies visiting the campus. 85% of our students are placed in the 3rd Semester. After the student takes admission, it is mandatory for them to attend personality development classes and mock interviews. It helps them to develop confidence and prepare for the challenging placement drills.

How do you help your students to cope up with the competition in the outside world?

“Failure is a stepping stone towards success”

Sometimes even after being the best, one does not get the deserved job. The world is extremely competitive, and students need to learn to handle stress and competition. We often talk about personalities who failed miserably but are the world's best-known characters. We often repeat this to them: "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently" – Henry Ford. Also, to help them cope up with stress, we organize yoga sessions.
