TCS ION Academy has released CAT 2020 Registration video sample to help students with filling out the Form. CAT Application forms have been released on August 05, 2020, on the official website –  iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can apply until September 16, 2020. The Registration process is completely online and candidates will have to start by creating an account, followed by filling up details and then paying the application fee. Common mistakes while Filling CAT 2020 Application Form 

As the Registration process for Common Admission Test is detailed, candidates sometimes face some issues while registering. Given below are some common problems and their solutions.

Caste and Category details

Candidates belonging to different cast other than “General” will have to fill the category details. OBC candidates must make sure they belong to Non-creamy layer category (OBC-NCL) before applying from this category. To know precise category details, candidates can check their cast and category list issued by state and central government. Backwards Class candidates can visit NCBC official website to check their caste.

PWD category Details

A Candidate who has a particular disability of more than 40% can only be considered into PWD category. Therefore, the applicant must make sure before applying in this category.  The candidate will also have to acquire a certificate proving the same from a registered medical practitioner.   

Conversion of Grade Marks into Percentage

Numerous universities provide Grade marks (CGPA) and candidates are required to fill aggregate percentage in CAT 2020 Application form. To convert the grade marks into a percentage, candidates will have to go through the conversion formula provided by their University. In case the University does not has any conversion formula, The grade marks will be converted on a scale of 100 marks and then be filled in.
