The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) have successfully conducted the CLAT 2020 today. The authorities are all set to announce the result on October 5 and thereafter carry forward the Counselling procedure from October 6.
Following the financial crunch due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Consortium has decided to collect only the first-semester fee, which means 50% of the annual fees for the year 2020-21. After getting a seat on the basis of CLAT 2020, candidates have to pay the first semester/50% of the annual fee after deducting the INR 50,000/- counselling fee, to the respective NLU directly.
After the declaration of CLAT 2020 Result, the cutoff list will be released. NLUs releases a separate cutoff for each program as per the candidate's category. As per the past trend analysis, a score of 90-120 can fetch admission in a good NLU. Check CLAT 2020 Expected Cutoff

Candidates can provide a fresh set of NLU preferences. Candidates can either choose to give preference to only those NLUs in which they are interested or they can also choose to provide all the NLUs. However, the authorities have advised giving a minimum of 5 preferences.
Step 2: Online Payment for Counselling
After making the preferences, candidates have to move ahead with online payment of INR 50,000/- to register for CLAT 2020 counselling on the Consortium website. Candidates have to make the payment before last date i.e. October 7, 2020. Thereafter no requests will be entertained.
