Results for XAT 2022 will be declared in the last week of January 2022 by XLRI which is the conducting authority for this examination. Candidates can check their results on the official website of XLRI by entering the login credentials i.e. registration number and password. Candidates can also download the scorecard in which the sectional and overall marks and percentile will be mentioned. The individual cut off for management programs will be released soon after the declaration of results.

The percentile will be calculated on the basis of marks secured in the three subjects-verbal and logical ability, decision making, quantitative ability and data interpretation. Some important facts regarding the examination and the results are mentioned below:

• Marks secured by the candidate in the general knowledge section shall not be considered while calculating the percentile.

• Marks secured in the general knowledge section will be considerable in the group discussion and personal interviews that will be conducted after the declaration of results of the aptitude test.

• The answer key will be released prior to the declaration of results in which the candidates can check their answers and file claims for objectionable answers.

• Answer key can also be used to predict the score and percentile as it will show the response which the candidate has marked in the online aptitude test.

• XAT scores are valid over more than 150 colleges and universities across the country and the candidates can apply to those colleges individually soon after the declaration of XAT results

• The usual cut off percentile for business management is 96 and for human resource programs the cut off starts from 92.

How to Check XAT 2022 Results

XAT 2022 results will be declared around 3rd week of January on the official website. The steps to check and download results and scorecard are mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of XAT-XLRI

• Enter the registration id and password and login(as shown in the image below)

• The scorecard will be displayed on the screen

• Download the scorecard and keep extra copies for all future reference

XAT 2022: Scorecard

XAT scorecard will contain the sectional score and overall percentile secured by the candidates in the aptitude test. The scorecard will be used to apply for the colleges after the declaration of results. Candidates shall download the scorecard from the official website only and no hard copy of the scorecard will be sent to any candidate via post or courier. XAT 2022: GD and PI session

After the declaration of results the candidates are required to apply for GD and PI sessions(group discussion and personal interview). Candidates have to apply individually for each college according to their convenience. The GD/PI will be conducted separately for each college for which the candidates have applied for. In some of the colleges there may be a written ability test before the GD/PI session. The parameters of selection in GD/PI is completely up to the colleges.After concluding all the above mentioned sessions a final list of selected candidates will be released by XLRI for admissions into various departments.

XAT 2022: Counselling

There are no centralised sessions and process of XAT counselling. However, candidates have to apply for the counselling session of different colleges online on the official website of XAT. Every college has its own procedure that usually starts in the month of February and concludes by April. The counselling session starts after the results of Group Discussion and Personal Interview session(GD/PI). To apply for the counselling session candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of XAT

• Click on ‘XAT counselling’

• Register by entering the necessary details

• Choose the preferred course in a particular institute

• Lock the option that has been selected.

• Complete the payment through online mode

Candidates should note that no changes can be made in the selection of branch and institute.Choice of the course once locked will be considered final and any request to make any alterations shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

XAT 2022: Cut Off and Qualifying Marks

The cut off marks for XAT 2022 will vary according to the institutes and branch.The cut off will be released by XLRI soon after the declaration of XAT 2022 results. Cut off will be released separately for the Human Resource Management Program, Business Management and General Management Programs.The cut off generally depends upon the total number of appearing candidates, total number of seats available and the difficulty level of the aptitude test.For admissions in the top colleges that accepts XAT score a minimum percentile of 80 is required.
