KEAM 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Result and Counselling

KEAM 2021 is an annual, state-level entrance exam to undergraduate programs in Engineering in about 150+ institutions in Kerala. The examination is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), under the Government of Kerala.

  • KEAM is an offline, pen-paper mode test conducted over two days for Papers 1 and 2. Wherein Paper 1 covers Physics and Chemistry, and Paper 2 covers Mathematics.
  • Candidates who are looking to gain admission in the B. Pharma program need to qualify only Paper. The minimum age of a KEAM applicant should be 17 years as on 31st December 2021.
  • Application Process is online and can be accessed through the official website https://cee.kerala.gov.in, tentatively from the first week of February 2021.
  • CEE defines the Eligibility Criteria for KEAM applicants into three categories: Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I), and Non-Keralite Category II (NK II).
  • KEAM Result can be accessed on the official website along with Cutoffs and closing ranks for the colleges in Kerala.

The exam was earlier used to be conducted for admission into Engineering, Architecture and Medical programs. However, since NEET has been mandatory throughout the country for medical programs and NATA for degrees is Architecture, hence, KEAM is being conducted only as an Engineering entrance for Kerala colleges.
