Gujarat University: Fourth Round of Counselling Conducted for 11,000 Candidates, Check Details Here

Gujarat University had recently conducted its fourth round of counselling for the 11,000 candidates who were not able to secure admission in the previous rounds.

In the fourth round of Gujarat University counselling, 2,899 candidates had been enlisted of which 2,797 were allocated colleges by the admission committee. Out of the total 40,744 seats, 28,111 seats have been filled so far.

Earlier, the university conducted 3 rounds and faced the challenge of filling up a large number of vacant seats in commerce colleges. Following which, the fourth round of online admission was held.

The university decided to conduct the fourth round only for the 11,000 candidates who could not secure admission in the earlier rounds as they could not get the college of their choice.

However, the university witnessed thin participation from the candidates for whom the online counselling was conducted. The low participation rate suggests that the candidates have secured admission in colleges.

The admission committee had initiated the process for about 40,000 seats of commerce colleges this year. About 36,000 students had successfully registered for the admission. As of now, GU has a total of 12,633 seats vacant after the conduct of the fourth round.
