Gujarat University introduced a lot of new initiatives during a syndicate and senate meeting on October 3, 2020, Saturday.
Gujarat University initiatives comprise webinars on maternity care under the guidance of the women’s development council of the University. While with support from the University Grants Commission, the other imitative was the foundation of a Swami Vivekanand chair A.part from this, there are many more fresh courses provided by the University.

Gujarat University vice-chancellor Himanshu Pandya, during the online syndicate and senate meeting, also informed that a committee at the university level was formed for smooth implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. During the last month, the state government of Gujarat had set up a task force for implementing NEP 2020 in higher and technical education. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, the state education minister, headed the committee.

Moreover, many sub-committees have also been decided to complete courses and programs, coordinate with other authorities, and enhance the quality of education. As per the source in Gujarat University informed that they also planned it to felicitate faculty members and staff members for their research work, publications, and patents. In the meeting, they have introduced over a dozen alternative courses. The University also announced various initiatives. Some of them are mentioned below:
