HP University Reserves 10% Seats in PG Courses for EWS Candidates; Check Details Here


Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) administration has officially announced the reservation of 10 % seats in PG courses for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.

Applicants from the EWS category who are seeking admission to Himachal Pradesh University can now avail of this opportunity by entering their category in the online application forms. 

The deadline date for submission of the admission form to PG courses is October 20, 2020 and the first cut-off list is likely to be released by October 21, 2020.

Sikander Kumar, HP University Vice-Chancellor said, “The increased seats will be filled up from the existing candidates who have already applied for admission through online mode and a chance is given to the candidates to add the EWS category to their online form by opening the portal."

From the academic session 2020-21, EWS seats will be increased in all academic departments of HPU affiliated colleges. University administration also stated that in any case seats reserved for the EWS category remain unfilled, concerned seats will not be granted to any other category.

The admission process for the PG programme is likely to be completed by October 31, 2020.

Abiding by the high court orders, this year HP University had postponed the UG final year examinations. Earlier, HPU exams were scheduled to be conducted from August 17, 2020 across 153 centres in Himachal Pradesh.
