Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Guwahati gears up to launch its first-ever online MTech program in computer science and engineering from August 2020. The program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills about emerging technologies, post-COVID.
Official press release by IIIT Guwahati asserts that the program will benefit working professionals in the IT sector.
The IT sector is ever-emerging with new ideas, concepts and technologies. As a fact, freshers will also benefit from this higher degree. Both fresh graduates or industry professionals who wish to stay away from campuses in the wake of COVID concerns can take up this course.
The lectures available to both online and offline students will be similar. Educational standards along with curriculum and evaluation methods will remain the same for both.
The curriculum will cover artificial intelligence, IoT, autonomous vehicles and topics that entail the fourth industrial revolution.
The IIIT G press release also affirmed that post-COVID times might be challenging to scale development in business. Hence, the institute’s fresh takes will cater to higher education through online learning covering topics that allow India’s youth to deploy new and effective solutions.
