IIM Calcutta secures Second Rank in Asia by Financial Times Masters in Management for its MBA program; check details here


Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) has ranked 21st globally in Financial Times Masters Ranking for its two-year MBA programme in Management. 

Among the five Indian b-schools listed in the rankings, IIM Calcutta secured the second position in India as well as in Asia. 

IIM Calcutta's school diversity, alumni career development, international experience and research are some of the categories listed in the FTs ranking.

IIM Calcutta is the only business school that is a part of the renowned and prestigious CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education. 

Earlier, the institute released a press statement, saying that the Financial Times Rankings has reflected the high-quality education offered by the institute to the graduates and the successful development of the MBA programmes in the institution. 

Criterions considered in rankings comprise the intake of the international students, value for money, doctorate faculties. the ranking of alumni at the international level, the participation of the women in the institution's board, and the knowledge of other languages. 

IIM Calcutta is also very good in terms of providing career opportunities right after graduation, increased percentage in salary and career development of the alumni after graduation, and many others.

The institute has excelled in the field of business school diversity, with its equal percentage of international faculty and students, and board members. 

Director and professor, Anju Seth in IIM Calcutta stated that the FT rankings reflect the institute's MBA programme as a platform for every graduate to achieve, excel, and contribute towards the management business in the society.

Furthermore, he added saying that the vision of IIM to recognize itself as a globally eminent institute has been pulled off and now the focus is to upgrade the IIMC graduates as global leaders in the Management Business, he said.
