IIM Trichy Starts First Batch of PG Certificate Program in Supply Chain Management

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Trichy has begun the postgraduate certificate program in Supply Chain Management on September 28, 2020. The Institute planned to offer the course in Direct-to-Device (D-2-D) mode. The program will be conducted for twelve months with classes held once every week.

Program Inauguration

IIM Trichy held the virtual inauguration for this program in the month of August. Faculty members of IIM Trichy and 90 students participated in this event. Rakesh Sinha, the Founder, and CEO of Reflexive Supply Chain Solution addressed the need for a practical approach while talking about supply chain problems. He also highlighted the important aspects of SCM such as a focus on consumers, striking the right compromise while using optimization models, combining customer needs while making decisions, and questioning the assumptions behind mathematical models.

Program Highlights

Experienced domain experts from IIM Trichy were appointed to teach this course. The program is designed to enhance the capabilities of supply chain professionals to achieve performance excellence. It covers a focused set of relevant and contemporary topics in supply chain management such as sourcing strategy, forecasting & inventory management, sales & operations planning, supplier management.

IIM Trichy Upcoming Plans

Due to lockdown restrictions, IIM Trichy has earlier announced that it is planning to conduct online classes for Executive MBA and regular MBA programs. Upam Pushpak Makhecha, Chairperson, Media Relations, had said that IIM Trichy is planning to conduct online examinations to students and conduct online classes for the upcoming batches of regular PGPM and PGPM-HR programs. Through the Online certificate program, IIM Trichy opens up a new channel to connect to the corporate world.

PGCSCM Fees Structure

Candidates should pay the processing fee of INR 10,000 at the time of application out of which INR 2,500 will be taken for the application fee and INR 7,500 will be added to the total tuition fees. The fees structure is given in the tabulation below:

IIM Trichy refunds the processing fee of INR 10,000 if the candidate’s profile is rejected.
