The Digital Skill Academy of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has launched an online course in Advanced Programming in collaboration with the Institute’s incubated start-up GUVI.
IIT Madras issues a statement that the online course aims at both students and working professionals. The duration of the course is 120 hours and it is designed in a way to help the final year students and graduates by making them prepared for the internships and jobs in the IT sector.
The online course will assist the learners in job searching in the IT industry and IT services in all core manufacturing and design areas. Candidates from all over the country could apply and pursue the online course offered at IIT Madras.
IIT Madras: Online Advanced Programming Course Design
IIT Madras offers the online advanced programming course in an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform along with online sessions which provides a self-assessment environment to learners to practice coding and programming in real-time.
The online course will make the candidates ready for a job by providing them 120 hours of experiential learning which is equivalent to about three months of actual working experience.
For the candidates who have successfully completed the online programming course, a formal certificate will be issued by the trainer and knowledge partner, the Centre for Continuing Education of IIT Madras.

Mangala Sundar, Founder and Coordinator of Digital Skills Academy of IIT Madras stated, “The objective is to provide graduating students from Indian academic institutions and employees in multiple industrial sectors the necessary skills towards employment or reskilling in relevant sectors.”
Sundar also stated that this online advanced programming course will make the candidates ready for the job and industry. Candidates could attend the competitive examinations in the banking and finance sectors with confidence because the trainers will cover multiple areas through a huge problem set.
S.P. Balamurugan, the Co-Founder and CEO of GUVI, an incubated startup of IIT Madras stated that to get placement in IT companies, programming skills are more important at the time for every aspiring candidate.
GUVI has designed gamified learning and practises platform which will give various modes of unique and exclusive training environment for the candidates, said SP Balamurugan.
