Jamia Millia Islamia Starts two-week Human Rights and Social Inclusion Course Online


The Department of Political Science and UGC-HRDC at Jamia Millia Islamia have together launched an online refresher course on human rights and social inclusion.

The online course launched by Jamia Millia Islamia will be two weeks long, continuing until 19 September. The course will deal with numerous issues related to human rights, including new social movements, the framework of human rights and social justice.

The course will also deal with the social inclusion of LGBTQI, citizenship, masculinity, child rights, and New Education Policy, among other matters. It will also feature a special session on Mahatma Gandhi and an address on refugees and migrants by Professor Georgia Dona of East London University, Dockland Campus.

The sessions will include lectures by experts from National Human Rights Commission, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Osmania University, and many foreign universities. Experts from Human Rights Organizations, Non-Government Organizations and the police will also speak.

The final three days of the course will see the different groups make presentations.
