JEE Main 2021 Exam to be held from Feb 23-26; Read Updates Here


Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the JEE Main 2021 exam date today (December 16, 2020) at 6 PM clearing all the confusion among students regarding entrance exam schedule. As per the announcement, NTA will conduct the first session of JEE Main 2021 from 23-26 February 2021. 

The Education Minister has released the exam date of JEE Main 2021 through his official Twitter account (DrRPNishank). He has also clarified today that JEE Main 2021 will be conducted four times in 2021: February, March, April and May.

The announcement on Twitter reads: “We have examined your suggestions regarding JEE (Mains) and on the basis of the same, I am announcing the schedule of the exam.”

Earlier, Mr Pokhriyal took to Twitter to announce that, “Thank you all for sharing your constructive suggestions regarding JEE (Main) exams. We have got your suggestions examined. I will be announcing the schedule, the number of times the exam will be held at 6 PM today. Stay tuned.”

The tweet has a short video clip followed by it that informs NTA has considered all the recommendations of students as well as stakeholders, subsequent to which JEE Main 2021 exam date will be announced today.

JEE Main 2021: Number of Attempts to be Increased

As per the Education Minister's live interaction held on December 10, Ramesh Pokhriyal answered several queries of students for JEE, NEET and CBSE Board Exam 2021

During the webinar, he also acknowledged the prospect of increasing the total number of times for JEE Main. He stated that JEE Main 2021 can be held more than twice. He even said that the Ministry is mulling over conducting in 4 attempts beginning from the end of February, followed by March, April and May. 

News is rife that students might have to attend 75 questions instead of 90, that is 25 questions from each section of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 

The Education Minister also said that JEE will be held in more regional languages from 2021. As per latest updates, the exam is expected to be conducted in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Read More

Following this, the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued an information bulletin yesterday (December 15) that stated the first session (attempt) for JEE Main 2021 will be held from February 22-25. 

The schedule claimed to continue JEE Main 2021 registration from December 15 to January 15, 2021. The bulletin was, however, taken down after a few hours from the official website. Read More
