JEE Main 2021: Exam likely to be Postponed to February and May, No official Notice Yet


After a long delay, it is expected that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2021 examination in the month of February and May. 

Generally, JEE Main is conducted twice in the year, one in the month of January and other in April. However, due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19 the April exam was postponed to September for the academic year 2020-21. 

The JEE Main authorities also said that it is difficult to conduct the first session in January this year. But hopefully the exam shall be held by the end of February. Similarly, the second session of April is expected to be postponed to May.

So far, no official notification has been released by NTA. The registration process for JEE Main 2021 has yet not started , which is clouding the minds of lakhs of engineering students. Read More Here

Earlier, NTA director said in a statement that the JEE Main 2021 dates might be impacted by the schools reopening and board exam schedule. 

Considering the 2020 statistics, a total of 6.35 lakh candidates have qualified the JEE Main examinations for admission to IIITs, NITs and CFTIs. On the flip side, 43,204 candidates qualified JEE advanced for admission to IITs.
