JEE Main 2021 Registration Extended till Jan 23; Check Details, Apply Now @jeemain.nta.nc.in


The online registration for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 has been extended till January 23, 2021. Candidates are advised to visit the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) to register online and pay application fee till January 24 

The application window is open until January 23, 2021. As per the information brochure, candidates can register for JEE Main 2021 before the last date and pay the application fee until January 17, 2021.

This year, the JEE Main 2021 will be conducted four times. The first session of the JEE exam will be conducted from February 23, 2021, to February 26, 2021, followed by the next three Sessions in the month of March, April, and May 2021. 

The decision was taken to ensure that the JEE (Main) 2021 exam does not clash with the Board examinations, which may be conducted at varied times across the States/UTs. According to the official statement, the candidates will get the experience of taking an examination in the first attempt and learn from their mistakes so that they can improve while registering for the next time.

As per the recent updates, the exams will be held in 13 regional languages. The authorities shall be providing the correction facilities for the first round of JEE Main 2021 from January 19 to January 21 through an online mode.

JEE Main 2021 Registration: How to Apply?

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for JEE Main 2021:

Step 1: JEE Main 2021 Registration: Candidates will have to register themselves by providing the basic details and by creating the password for the unique registration id.

Step 2: JEE Main 2021 Application Form: After successfully registering for JEE Main 2021, candidates have to fill the application form which will include the personal details, qualification and exam related information.

Step 3: Uploading recent photograph and signature

Step 4: Payment of Online Application fee for JEE Main 2021: Candidates will have to pay the required amount of fee based on the category they belong to through any online medium like debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.

Additionally, the admit card for the first session of JEE Main 2021 is expected to be issued in the first week of January 2021. 

The JEE Main exam will be conducted in the two shifts. The first shift of the exam will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift of the exam will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.

​Q. What to do if the candidate has submitted the JEE Main Application Form with incorrect data?

In the event that JEE Main 2021 candidates submit an application form with incorrect data and pay the fee, they will have to wait for the NTA to open the correction window. It is advised that all details should be entered correctly by the candidates while filling out the JEE Main application form. The JEE Main 2021 correction window will open from 18 to 21 January.

Q. What is a candidate applies for February session and fails to appear in that, will they be allowed to appear again? 

JEE Main candidates are advised to apply for the examination in February. In the event that applicants are unable to appear for the entrance examination, they may apply for a second attempt after the March registration opens 3-4 days after the February results announcement. Candidate has the option of applying for one session or more than one session (February/March/April/May 2021) together and paying the examination fee accordingly.

Q. What if one wants to change the city of choice for appearing in JEE Main 2021 February session?

JEE Main 2021 candidates will have the option of giving three options for the city in which they may appear for the examination. If the candidates want to change their choice of city, they can do so in the next JEE Main attempt. Earlier, the Minister of Education had clarified that the government would try to assign candidates to the registered candidates for the first city of choice.

Q. What is the criteria to choose a regional language? 

This year, the Authority introduced 13 regional languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, as well as Hindi and English. Candidates must note that they are only allowed to choose a regional language for a particular state or city from which to appear for the examination, or else they may attempt a paper in the English language.
