JIPMER Dispels doubts regarding MBA Admission 2020 Counseling; Check Details Here


According to the latest notice, the Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has clarified the MBBS admission and counseling process for the year 2020 at the institute.

Union Government Body will hold the JIPMER MBBS Exam and Counseling for the year 2020. The notice states that the JIPMER authorities informed that several rumors regarding the admission and counseling for MBBS seats at JIPMER have been circulating.

Hence, the decision for JIPMER and the situation for MBBS admissions and counseling are mentioned below;

As per the information provided earlier, JIPMER's MBBS entrance test would not take place, and all admissions to the MBBS course at JIPMER will be made through the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), for this year. 

Candidates who have qualified NEET 2020 will appear for the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi.

In keeping with the JIPMER prospectus and domicile regulations earlier, in the counseling by the MCC, allotment of MBBS seats at both the Puducherry and Karaikal campuses of JIPMER will be conducted as per JIPMER's existing policies for reservation.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, JIPMER will not be conducting its annual convocation this year to ensure the safety of all the students and staff and to abide by the restrictions of the Central and the Union Territory Government as per the Epidemic Act. 

Students will receive the degree certificates at the registered address. Thus, to get a certificate, the eligible students need to register in the format available on the JIPMER website. Medical Dialogues had mentioned about the same earlier.
