Kashmir University and Jammu University to promote regional languages

With the effect of NEP 2020, the University of Kashmir (KU) and the University of Jammu (JU) will now incorporate regional languages, Kashmiri and Dogri respectively for the promotion of regional languages and colloquial dialects.

The government in Kashmir has recently added Kashmiri and Dogri languages in the official list of languages of Kashmir's official language list.University of Kashmir and University of Jammu have also developed departments of Hindi recruiting more professors in Ad Hoc.

Kashmir Lt. Governor meeting with chancellors

In the joint meeting between university Chancellors, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, a former student of BHU, chancellor of the both Kashmir University and Jammu University, put forth for both the Universities proposed the model for the advancement and utilization of Kashmiri, Dogri, Gojri, Pahari, and other neighbourhood dialects in their separate districts.

In the meeting of two University Vice-Chancellor (VC), KU Prof Talat Ahmad talked to the members to build up a solid system for reinforcing Kashmiri, Dogri, and other local dialects for more prominent use in scholastics and organization in the two districts.

Professors like Dr. Dhar and Dr. Talat combined focused on the importance of regional language and officially mentioned the formation of the Department of Dogri and Kashmir in KU and JU respectively for the advancement of the two dialects.

Different educational programs were also discussed for the engagement of youth and their importance in nation-building.

Adding value to the administration's intentions to advance nearby dialects, the VCs have granted necessities for progression of Kashmiri and Dogri language like methods of teaching should be in colloquial dialects.
