MP High Court allows DAVV Indore to Grant Admission without CETs, Check here!!


Madhya Pradesh high court has permitted Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya (DAVV) Indore to grant admission to students without conducting CETs for the session 2020-21.

The court has also formed a 5 membered committee to look after the admission process. Indore bench of High Court consisting of two judges put forward the directive on August 18, 2020.

Previously DAVV had raised a petition to revise the earlier court order to make CETs compulsory for admission, Adhering to that the High court passed the mentioned order.

DAVV filed a review petition mentioning that it is not possible to conduct the CETs in view of the current COVID-19 crisis, therefore the candidates must be granted admission based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Exam.

Adding to that, the state government of Madhya Pradesh also stated that the university has the authority to decide the selection process for admission.

The Court in its hearing mentioned, “ For this academic session only, the necessity of holding CETs is waived off.”

High Court has also structured a five-member committee consisting of DAVV Vice-chancellor and Senior most Professor and Professors from MGM Medical College and Holker Science College.

The Committee will supervise the complete DAVV 2020 Admissions. The Court also mentioned that decision of the committee will be considered final and the present modification will only be followed for 2020-21 session.
