Mumbai University’s IDOL: Separate BA, MA final year Exams for CET Students on Nov 6, 7, and 9; Details Here


October 23, 2020: Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai will conduct separate final year examinations for candidates who are appearing for the Common Entrance Examination for Law and Physical Education.

The final year examination of the Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) for BA and MBA students is scheduled to be conducted on November 2, 3, and November 4, 2020

The dates of the final year examination are overlapping with the upcoming examination of CET for law and physical education.

To make it easy for students to appear for the Common Entrance Examination for Law and Physical Education, the exams are now scheduled for a later date. The exam authority of IDOL will allow the students taking boths exams to appear on November 6, 7, and November 9 instead. 

Referring to the IDOL exam dates, a student of MU IDOL said, " "I have been preparing for my law common entrance examination and it was a bit stressful to prepare for both examinations simultaneously. I am relieved to know that our final-year examinations have been rescheduled."

Students who are appearing for the Common Entrance Examination must register for the IDOL revised schedule for the final year exam by sending an email to the IDOL exam authority at @ onlineexam2020 @onlineexam2020@idol.mu.ac.in.

Students need to send their examination details with their name, exam date, seat number, contact details, etc. Along with exam details, students also need to send a scanned copy of their IDOL hall ticket to the given email address. 

To confirm their seats in the revised examination dates, students of MU IDOL must inform the exam authority beforehand. IDOL stated, "Students will have to inform the IDOL office on this email ID onlineexam2020@idol.mu.ac.in on or before November 1, 2020."

"Students need to provide the following details: their name, name of examination, seat number, email ID, mobile number, and name of the examination paper. It is mandatory for students to upload the scan copy or photo image of their CET examination hall tickets as an attachment file with the Google form" the authority added.

Earlier, the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena approached the Mumbai University IDOL regarding the clash of CET and IDOL Final year examination. 

Keeping in mind the student’s request, the Mumbai University Institute of Open and Distance Learning decided to think through about the examination dates. Later IDOL exam authority announced a new timetable for the final year examination of MU only for CET students.

IDOL provided relief to students who are preparing to appear for both examinations- IDOL Final year examination and CET entrance exam.
