MHRD has waived off the Eligibility criteria for NATA 2020 to score at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for admission to B.Arch courses. According to the revised eligibility criterion, a candidate just needs to acquire a Pass Certificate in order to be eligible for admission.
The decision was taken in consultation with the Council of Architecture (CoA) on August 04, 2020. The Union Education Minister made this announcement through a tweet from his official twitter handle stating that since the CBSE and other Board exams were partially cancelled therefore the candidates who have passed 10+2 Scheme of Examination with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch 20-21. The step has been taken in favour of students who faced difficulties in their academics due to COVID-19 Crisis.

Now, candidates who have passed the 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM subjects or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the first year of B.Arch. Course for 2020-2021.

According to the previous eligibility criteria, a candidate should compulsorily score an aggregate of at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam along with clearing the NATA Cutoff score to be eligible for admission to B.Arch Courses.
However, with the revised eligibility criteria, the candidates just need to pass the qualifying exam irrespective of their score.

NATA 2020 Phase 1 will be conducted on August 29, 2020, and dates for Phase-2 will be announced soon. The exam will be conducted in home-based proctored mode as well as in CBT mode by visiting the exam center. Candidates who do not have better internet connectivity or technical resources can opt for allotment of exam centers. The authority will soon provide candidates to opt for their preferences regarding the same.
