Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' is now interacting with students live on his Twitter page to address students' questions about CBSE Boards 2021, JEE Main 2021, and NEET 2021. The live session started at 10 a.m.
Those who have specific questions that they would like to ask Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal or have concerns that need clarification could contact him directly by sending a tweet using the hashtag #EducationMinisterGoesLive.
Most of the requests addressed to the Union Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal, prior to the Live Session are related to the reduction of the JEE Main 2021, NEET, CBSE exams. Another request that has swarmed the Minister's Twitter handle is to postpone the JEE Main January 2021 exam.

Speaking about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Minister said it would help to create new reforms and opportunities for students. He also pointed out that international counterparts also praised India for NEP.
Minister Pokhriyal also said that even cities like Trivandrum, Bengaluru and Chennai have shown 'excellent results in the CBSE board review, praising students across the country for showing good results in the Class 10 exams.
Exam Postponement Updates
Pokhriyal said that if the situation remains the same if the exams have to be postponed, then we will make a decision. Furthermore, there will be no reduction in the syllabus. He also said that we are discussing whether JEE Main 2021 can be conducted twice, three or four times, and we will try to announce NEET soon so that students will have plenty of time to study and prepare for the NEET 2021 exam.
Practical examinations are carried out at school level. If you do not seem to be able to take part in practical classes, the situation is not right, the issue will be discussed.
The Minister of Education said: "We conducted JEE, NEET exams on time during the COVID-19 pandemic, bearing in mind that a precious year of students is not being wasted."
NEET proved to be the largest pandemic test in the world.
CBSE removed the term 'FAIL' from the label sheets, which looks like a harsh word and may have an impact on the mental health of students. Thus, CBSE used 'Essential Repeat' or any other term in the resulting documents as required.
When schools will reopen?
Pokhriyal said that 17 countries have opened their schools, although attendance is very low. He also spoke about the safety of the students.
CBSE 10th exams in offline mode
Addressing the students during the live session, Pokhriyal said that the CBSE board will be conducted in offline mode. There were requests for the postponement of the examinations of the Boards of Classes 10 and 12, which are usually scheduled for February-March.

Meanwhile, the HRD Ministry has also asked to consider the revision of the NEET 2021 syllabus. However a decision on this is yet to be taken, and it is likely that the CBSE 12th syllabus will be revised. There may be a 30% reduction in the Class 12 syllabus as the news session was delayed due to the ongoing pandemic.
Candidates who have not been able to complete the NEET 2020 exam may appear for the 2021 exam. These candidates may appear for the NEET 2021 exam.
