Osmania University to begin UG End Semester exams from September 17, Check Here


Osmania University will conduct final semester exams for numerous undergraduate and postgraduate final year exams from September 17 onwards in offline mode. 

An estimated 2.50 Lakh final year students of both degree courses and professional courses at Osmania University will appear for the exams at over 300 centers in Telangana state.

The duration of the exams will be held for two hours rather than three hours. Accordingly, the university has set the question paper and students will be provided with more choices in the question papers this year. 

For instance in the BE (CBCS), out of 10 questions, students need to answer five questions in section A, and four questions out of seven must be solved in section B.

Issuing special protocols for the students to follow, the university guidelines state that no student will be allowed to enter examination halls without wearing a facemask and it is compulsory to continue to wear the mask throughout the exam. 

Students have been advised to carry their own personal sanitizer and must maintain physical distancing in the exam halls. Candidates having any symptoms like cold, fever, etc. must inform the exam chief superintendent before the exam.

OU has asked chief superintendents of colleges where exam centers are situated to follow COVID safety instructions without fail; sanitize the rooms/premises before and after every exam session. College authorities are also instructed to do a thermal screen for all students appearing for the exams.

The university has also been permitted to conduct another special examination, as and when feasible, for such students who are not able to appear for all examinations of the semester/year due to issues related to health or other unavoidable situations.

The colleges, according to the university, can conduct a second internal test, if not taken already, in online/offline or blended mode. Likewise, the university also provided instructions to conduct practical examination in offline/online mode to the respective colleges. The colleges are also provided with the provision of taking project/seminar/internships viva in online mode.

Meanwhile, the university has rescheduled IV semester exams of BPEd (Sports management and Concepts of Yoga) and DPEd (Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation, and Organization and Administration of Physical Education) subjects will be conducted on September 23 and 28.

Similarly, BEd IV semester exams (Contemporary Education in India, and Environmental Education: Issues and Concerns) subjects will be taken on September 28 and October 1. These exams were earlier to be held on September 15 and 17. The university will conduct an MBA (CBCS) IV-semester (regular, backlog, and improvement) exams beginning from October 6 to 12.
